The season is starting to change, the days are slowly becoming shorter.
It’s time to give ourselves permission to slow down. Taking even a short period of time to relax can help quieten a busy mind, ease some of the tension we hold in our bodies, and create a sense of calm.
Guided relaxation offers an opportunity to pause, breathe, and gently let go of the day’s build-up.
Afterwards, you may notice you feel:
✨ Calmer
✨ More settled
✨ Lighter
✨ Rested
✨ Better able to face tomorrow
My next Guided Relaxation evening is taking place next Tuesday 22nd September, from 7:15pm to 7:55pm, at Williton War Memorial Ground & Pavilion.
£12 per person. Booking in advance is recommended https://www.ur-unique.co.uk/gr
If you’re ready to give yourself a little time to reset, I’d love to welcome you.
Feel free to bring a mat, pillow, and a blanket to help you get really comfortable. I’ll have a few mats available if needed.

The out of office is set ☺️.
A time to switch off & turn the dial down from work mode in both the corporate role and my business.
I’ll still scan social media of course, there just won’t be any posts from me this week.

What people have said about my training:
⭐️ Louise’s style was brilliant and very engaging
⭐️ Really beneficial to go back over areas of MHFaid and refresh on certain topics. Course content was concise and delivery was great.
⭐️ I felt that Louise was fantastic and the course was really well delivered. Given some of the course content was very sensitive in nature, Louise made it much easier to absorb than I expected.

A great way to start my morning at Mr Miles tea rooms with Taunton Chamber of Commerce
A great talk from Helen Franklin about being in the present and how to shift different mindsets that keep us small.
A Taunton update from Bethan Turner on what’s happening in the local town.
Networking isn’t necessarily about promoting services to each other, it’s connection, supporting each other, remembering who does what so if you speak with someone looking for what others offer you can point them in their direction.
Great to catch up with Helen Hutt, and meet new people (new to me) Elizabeth from HR Dept Somerset, Joanne from Headway Somerset & Graham from Wessex Commercial Solutions Limited.

There was something about the partial solar eclipse here in the UK that brought people together.
Families, friends, neighbours and complete strangers were looking up at the same sky, sharing the experience and the wonder of something bigger than ourselves.
And we’re seeing something very different, but perhaps just as powerful, in the way people come together when devastating fires are impacting communities.
In difficult moments, people reach out. They check on one another. They offer practical help, comfort, a listening ear.
There’s something about connection with others that hugely benefits our wellbeing.
Perhaps it’s because we’re not meant to navigate everything alone.
Sometimes, simply being alongside someone else sharing a moment, a conversation, a little kindness can remind us that we belong.
And maybe that’s something worth remembering, not just in the extraordinary moments, but in the ordinary ones too.

Did you know that the Human Givens (HG) Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification in counselling and psychotherapy?
Our Diploma is part of, and explicitly referenced within, the SCoPEd framework – the new national standards framework for training in counselling and psychotherapy which was developed and overseen by the six main counselling and psychotherapy registers: BACP, Human Given Institute (HGI), UKCP, NCPS, BPS and ACC.
As such, the Diploma meets the requirements of the framework, which was officially adopted by all parties in February 2023. There are agreed routes for HG Diploma graduates to transition through the framework’s 3 columns should they wish to do so.
