π Brands Hatch β Driverβs POV
A lap around Brands Hatch from my point of view! π
I only managed to record a few laps on the day, so unfortunately I didnβt capture any of the fast ones.
Would you guys like to see more POV laps like this from future events? π₯ποΈ

π ROUND 6 β BRANDS HATCH
What a way to finish the season! π₯
Heading into Round 6, the championship was already secured, so the pressure was off. The goal was simple β go out, have fun and try to beat my own lap record and break into the 50s.
WARM UP
Straight out of the box the car felt strong. I knew there was time in it and my first flying lap was already into the 51s.

ATTACK 1
Time to push and experiment with different lines, braking points and corner entries. I found another chunk of time and managed to break my own lap record.

ATTACK 2
I knew the 50s were there. A few laps came very close, but traffic and track space weren't quite falling into place. Still managed another improvement.

SUPER ATTACK π₯
This was it. Full send.
Temperatures had dropped and everything was looking perfect for a quick lap. I knew I had the pace β I just needed to put it all together.
And finallyβ¦
π₯ 50.813 π₯
A new personal best and lap record β and faster than last year's Club 2WD lap record!

Even more crazy, all of these times were set on the same 2023 DOT-coded tyres I've been using for the last two years.
Who knows what could have been possible on a fresh setβ¦ π
That's the 2026 season done and dusted.

6 WINS FROM 6 ππ
What a way to finish the season. Another win, another lap record, and this time I managed to beat my own previous lap record in every session.
I genuinely couldnβt have asked for any more from this car today. It has been an incredible machine all season and has delivered every time Iβve asked it to.

Huge shoutout to TTV Racing Components for helping me out with a custom flywheel for my Swindon Powertrain BTCC engine.
Let the 2027 build begin...
Would anyone like a build series on the full 2027 project?

IS TIME ATTACK LOSING OUT? π
Iβve been thinking about this a lot this seasonβ¦
Why does Time Attack seem quieter than it should be?
And is the Javelin Sprint Series actually better value for money? π€
Yes, Javelin appears to be cheaper and the sprint format is appealing β but when you look at what you actually get from Time Attack, Iβm struggling to see how the overall value for money is matched.
π Full circuit competition
β±οΈ Multiple timed laps
π₯ Major UK circuits
π₯ Huge automotive events & spectators
π Championship points & lap records
πΈ Media & content exposure
π« Non-contact competition
π§ A format that rewards both car AND driver
Time Attackβs 2026 Club championship is Β£2,450 for seven events, plus Β£100 Club membership. That works out at roughly Β£364 per round including membership.
Meanwhile, sprinting has a lot going for it too β and Javelin has clearly built a strong following with a simple, accessible format.
So why arenβt more drivers making the jump into Time Attack?
Is it the cost?
The format?
The commitment?
Or is Time Attack simply not marketing what it offers well enough?
Iβd genuinely like to hear what people think.
π If you had a competition car, which would you choose β Time Attack or Javelin Sprint Series, and WHY?
Letβs have the debate. π
