A few shots from behind the scenes at 2 Wheels Only šŸ‘€

The builds might get most of the attention, but there’s always something happening in the workshop…

Servicing, upgrades, repairs and plenty of bikes being prepared for their next ride šŸ’Ø

We’re closed tomorrow for the Bank Holiday, so the tools are down for the day.

If you’re out riding, enjoy it.

We’ll see you TuesdayšŸ“

Di2 is better… but there’s a catch 😬

Upgrading from mechanical shifting isn’t always as simple as swapping your derailleur and shifter.

What you already have on your e-bike matters 🚨

Your drivetrain, cassette, freehub body and existing Shimano components can all affect what’s needed to make the switch.

In some cases, you may be able to keep more of your existing setup than you think.

In others, there’s a little more involved.

Julian explains what you need to consider before making the move to Di2 šŸ’

Still worth the upgrade?

Still running mechanical shifting on your e-bike? šŸ¤”

You might be missing out on more than just electronic gear changes.

Shimano Di2 can unlock features that simply aren’t possible with a traditional cable-based drivetrain, changing not only how your bike shifts, but what the drivetrain can actually do.

Julian from Shimano takes us through three of the features you could be missing out on.

And did we mention it’s now compatible with Bosch? šŸ‘€

Would they be enough to make you switch from mechanical? āš”ļø

Beige has no right looking this good 😳

The all-new Trek Domane Gen 5, finished in Buff Beige with gold accents.

We’ve talked about what’s changed underneath, but this one deserves a closer look purely for the details.

Clean, understated and very different depending on how the light catches it.

Would you choose Buff Beige, or play it safer?

Why did Merida choose Bosch for the new Lithos?

It wasn’t simply a case of taking the existing eOne-Sixty and swapping the motor.

The Lithos was developed as a new platform, designed around the Bosch system from the start and taking what Merida had learned from its previous eMTBs.

But there’s another big reason behind that decision: proven reliability.

Merida’s Bosch-powered demo fleet has already clocked some serious four-digit mileage on each bike, reportedly running without fault.

Add Bosch’s established worldwide support network, access to parts and technical backup, and you start to understand why Merida put its trust in the system for its new flagship eMTB.

Then there’s the performance of the latest CX and CX-R systems on top.

Would Bosch be your first choice for an eMTB? šŸ”‹

The all-new Trek Domane Gen 5 has landedšŸ“

Lighter, simpler and more versatile than ever, Trek has made some big changes to its endurance road bike.

IsoSpeed is gone. There’s now clearance for up to 40mm tyres, a new road-smoothing seatpost, a 20mm riser bar and a significantly lighter frame, while keeping the comfort and confidence the Domane has always been known for.

The result? An endurance-focused bike that’s equally at home on long road rides, rough back lanes and light gravel.

Steve gives us a first look at what’s changed and what the new Domane is all about.

What do you think of the new direction?

Is this too much bike for most riders? šŸ¤”

The Merida Lithos sits firmly at the aggressive end of the eMTB spectrum.

With 170mm travel up front, 174mm at the rear, a mullet setup and Bosch CX or CX-R power, it’s built for riders who want to push harder on technical trails, big mountain days and enduro-style terrain.

But that doesn’t mean you need to be racing enduro every weekend to enjoy one.

If you want a full-power eMTB that gives you plenty of capability when the terrain gets steep, rough and fast, the Lithos has been built with exactly that in mind.

So, too much bike, or exactly the right amount?

Is this the smartest upgrade for your e-bike? šŸ¤”

Upgrading to Shimano Di2 isn’t just about replacing a mechanical shifter with an electronic one.

On compatible e-bikes, it unlocks features like Auto Shift, Free Shift and a level of customisation that simply isn’t possible with a traditional drivetrain.

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your e-bike, this is one you won’t want to miss.

This Friday at 11:00am, we’re dropping a brand-new YouTube video with Shimano, covering everything you need to know.

We’ll explain compatibility, upgrade options, the technology behind Di2, and the features that can completely change the way your e-bike rides.

Set a reminder… we’ll see you on YouTube šŸæ
