Are ultra processed foods the devil, or is it people behaviours and lack of education that’s the problem?

I've put together a free guide full of meal ideas you can follow without tracking a single calorie.

Every meal in it is built on the same simple plate I use with my ladies, so all you've got to do is pick one, make it and crack on, and there's no app, no weighing and no stood in front of the fridge wondering what to make for tea.

If you want it, comment GUIDE below and I'll send it straight over to you.

Morning team 🙌🏻 This one ties in with my tracking calories isn’t for everyone belief, because if most people just did this, a lot of them would never need to count a single calorie.

What I see all the time is grazing all day without even realising it. A handful of something every time you walk past the cupboard, the crusts off the kids’ plates, a biscuit with every brew. Then on the busy days you forget to eat altogether, so your hunger hormones haven’t got a clue when they’re meant to switch on and off, and you end up thinking about food from the minute you wake up.

So with the women in our program we get them eating three proper meals, built around a lean protein, some carbs and half a plate of veg, salad or fruit, at roughly the same hour each day. Breakfast somewhere between seven and eight, lunch twelve till one, tea five till six, or whatever fits your day, as long as it’s roughly the same window. Then one snack, either before or after a workout or something you genuinely enjoy, and a small chocolate bar is absolutely fine.

Do that consistently and your hunger starts turning on and off when it should. Most people find fat loss gets easier, their energy picks up, and even their skin, hair and nails start looking better. And you get a bit of your headspace back, which is the bit nobody talks about.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to be repeatable.

Peace 🕺

So I recorded a voice note on the stuff I won't budge on, and as you'd expect from me it turned into a proper ramble, so bear with me.

The one that matters most to me is the good and bad food one, because I've seen the damage it does. You label chocolate as bad, you cut it out, you're living off chicken and broccoli, and then one night you cave and the shame and guilt kick in straight away. You feel like you're the problem, like you haven't got what it takes, and because food is how most of us comfort ourselves, you either eat the lot or promise yourself you'll be good from Monday. And round and round you go, sometimes for years.

The ultra processed one will ruffle a few feathers, I know. My little boy won't touch fresh chicken however it's cooked, but he'll happily eat one particular brand of nuggets, so he has the nuggets. Half the people panicking over the ingredients on a packet are rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, while their sleep's a mess, their stress is through the roof and they haven't moved all week, do you know what I mean.

And the jab. For the right person Mounjaro is brilliant, I'm not knocking it at all, but if nothing changes from the neck up, you're still the same person, just a few stone lighter with less muscle.

It doesn't have to be complicated, it just has to be repeatable.

Peace.

Comment CYCLE and tell me which one you've been stuck on, and I'll message you back and see how I can help.

Apparently your cortisol is the reason you can’t lose belly fat

Because obviously it couldn’t possibly be anything else. 🙄

Cortisol is real

Stress is real

And chronic stress can influence things like sleep, appetite, recovery and eating behaviour.

But the idea that ordinary day-to-day stress means you have “high cortisol” that is stopping your body from losing belly fat?

That’s a massive oversimplification.
There are genuine medical conditions involving excessive cortisol, but that’s very different from the “cortisol belly” being pushed all over social media.

So before you buy a cortisol supplement, detox or hormone-balancing programme, and get ripped off! Please! look at the bigger picture.

If fat loss is your goal, things like:
➡️ Your overall energy intake➡️ Adequate protein➡️ Resistance training➡️ Daily movement➡️ Sleep and recovery➡️ Consistency over time
are much more useful places to start.
And yes, managing stress matters too.

Not because you need to “lower your cortisol to burn belly fat”, but because your overall health, sleep, appetite and ability to stick to your habits matter.

The answer isn't always another supplement or “hack”.

Sometimes it’s understanding what actually matters, ignoring the noise, and doing the basics consistently.

You don't need to become an expert in cortisol. You need good information and a plan that makes sense for you.

You should also give me a follow for more common sense nutrition advice 🕺
