🌸 Meet Vicki

Grounded strength. Quiet wisdom. Deeply intuitive.

Vicki is one of our newest teachers at Saku, and I honestly couldn’t be happier that she’s here.
She actually started out as someone who came into the studio to practise, and the more I got to know her, the more I realised just how much she had to offer.

She has this really calm, grounding presence about her. She’s one of those people who just makes you feel better by being around her.
She’s wise, intuitive, incredibly thoughtful and has this amazing ability to create a space where you can just be — whatever is showing up for you.

I love her depth. I love our conversations. I love her energy. And I love what she brings into Saku.

And those blue eyes… 👀😂 honestly, she sees EVERYTHING.

I’m so grateful she found her way to us. Choosing the people who teach at Saku is something I take really seriously, and Vicki brings such a beautiful depth, calm and grounded energy to the studio.

She has this beautiful way of creating a space that feels completely safe to just be yourself — and I think that’s something really special.

So if you haven’t experienced her yet…
Come and feel her grounding presence for yourself. 🤍

You’ll find Vicki at:
🌸 Friday 5:45pm
🌸 Saturday 8:30am
🌸 Saturday 10am

I love having you here, Vicki. 🤍
So glad you’re part of Saku. 🌸

Okay, I have to talk about Seany’s Power Pilates class because this class is honestly the highlight of my week. 🤍

If I can make it to one class, I’ll always try and get to this one.
I just LOVE the way Seany teaches. She brings together strength, core, movement and these lovely flows that start off feeling fairly simple… and then suddenly you realise how bloody hard you’re working. 😂

I love the way she builds the movements too. Everything layers into the next thing, so you’re constantly progressing without it ever feeling overwhelming.

And the heat just takes it to another level 🔥

I walk out feeling strong, sweaty, properly worked and really really good.

And then there’s Seany herself.

Her energy is just infectious. She is sunshine in a bottle ☀️ and you can’t help but feel good around her.

One thing I’m really passionate about with Saku is the teachers we bring into the studio. I work really, really hard to find people who fit our vibe, our ethos and what I want Saku to feel like.

Because it’s not just about finding someone who can teach a great class.

I have to trust these people with our clients, our community and the space we’ve created, and that’s a really big deal to me.

And Seany just gets Saku. 🤍

So, this is me basically telling you how much I love her class 😂

Not because I’m trying to sell you a class, but because I genuinely adore it and adore her.

If you’ve not tried her Power Pilates yet, go. Honestly. 🌸
I think you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Love Cat

🌸 NEW AT SAKU — MENOPAUSE YOGA 🌸
Starting tomorrow — Tuesday 8th September at 5:45pm
Menopause can feel like your body has suddenly changed the rules. Your sleep, mood, energy, anxiety and relationship with your body can all feel different — sometimes from one day to the next.
That’s why we’re so excited to introduce Menopause Yoga at Saku. 💗
This isn’t simply a regular yoga class with a menopause label. Our teacher is specifically trained in Menopause Yoga, with the practice designed around the physical, emotional and energetic changes women can experience throughout perimenopause and menopause.
You’ll be introduced to practical tools that can support you both on and off the mat, including:
🌿 Breathwork & pranayama to help calm the nervous system and manage feelings of overwhelm
🌿 Gentle, nourishing yoga to ease tension, discomfort and fatigue
🌿 Practices that can be adapted depending on what your body needs that day
🌿 Meditation, self-massage and other tools to support your wellbeing
🌿 Plenty of restorative work and time to properly relax
And importantly, this is NOT a hot class. ❤️
It’s a comfortable, nurturing space where you can listen to your body, move in a way that feels right for you and simply be.
You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need any previous yoga experience. And you certainly don’t need to have menopause figured out.
Come exactly as you are. Your practice can meet you where you are. 🌸
📍 Saku Hot Yoga, Pilates & Wellness
🗓️ Tuesday 8th September
⏰ 5:45pm
If you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause, we’d love to welcome you. 💗

Sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to know where we’re going, what we’re doing and how it’s all going to work out.

But maybe you don’t need to know yet.
Maybe you just need to take the next step.
One small choice.
One deep breath.
One moment of trusting yourself a little more.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. 🤍
Just keep moving forward, at your own pace. 🌸

POV: you finally booked the class you’ve been thinking about for weeks

You nearly talked yourself out of it…
You thought everyone would be fitter than you…
You thought you wouldn’t know what to do…
And then you realised…

Everyone was just there trying to feel a little better too.

❤️🌸

This is our favourite kind of Community Love. 🤍

Because Saku isn’t really about becoming more flexible, burning more calories or mastering the hardest pose.

It’s about how you feel when you leave.

Calmer.
More grounded.
More connected.
More like yourself.

And we absolutely loved reading that Saku has become a place to completely switch off — especially from someone who originally thought yoga was “slow and boring.” 😂

Thank you mollystepp for trusting us with your practice and for being part of our Saku community. 🌸

This is what we’re building here.
A place where you feel safe.
A place where you feel welcomed.
A place where you can simply be.

Happy Sunday lovelies,
Cat and the Saku Hot Team

Some days you’ll feel strong. Some days you’ll wobble like a newborn giraffe.
And that’s the beauty of the practice.
Your mat isn’t somewhere you have to prove yourself. It’s somewhere you get to meet yourself exactly as you are that day.
Strong, wobbly, tired, energised, focused, distracted — it all counts.
So don’t wait until you feel ready, flexible or “good enough”.
Just keep showing up. 🌸
Your practice will meet you where you are. 🤍

MEET CAT| OWNER OF SAKU

During the next few months we’re introducing you to all our teachers..

Starting with me…

Hi my loves, thank you for being here ❤️

🌸 What brought you to yoga/Pilates?

I came to yoga through anxiety. After having my children, I was suffering with daily panic attacks and living almost entirely in my head. Yoga became my medicine. It brought me back into my body, my breath and myself — and taught me how to recognise what energy was mine and what wasn’t.

🌸 What can students expect from your classes?
Fun, playful, sweaty flows… with the occasional moment where you may question why you came.. My Hot Sculpt and Saku Hot classes can be intense, but we laugh, wobble, sigh and get through it together and I promise you will leave feeling like you’ve let everything you’re carrying go. My Kokoro Flows, Zen Restores and workshops are slower, healing spaces where you can breathe, release and feel held.

🌸 What’s your favourite thing about teaching at Saku?
The community. 🤍 I love my teachers, I love our space and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created. Walking in and hearing people chatting, laughing, supporting each other and forming genuine friendships fills me up. Saku is so much more than a studio — it’s a community.

🌸 What would you love beginners to know?
Don’t be afraid! We were all beginners once. My first class was a complete disaster — I couldn’t even tell my left from my right 😂 You don’t need to be flexible, strong or know what you’re doing. Just walk through the door. We’ve got you.

🌸 Favourite piece of life guidance?

✨ Further up is further in.
I believe we’re souls here having a human experience. We don’t come to our mats to escape being human or become a “better” version of ourselves. We come to feel it all, reconnect with our bodies and remember the light, beauty and joy that already exists within us.
You don’t have to be perfect here.
You just have to be real. 🌸

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply pause. 🤍
Balasana | Child’s Pose is your invitation to come back to yourself.
✨ Rest. Release. Restore. ✨
In a world that constantly asks us to move faster, do more and keep going, Child’s Pose reminds us that there is power in the pause. Take a breath. Reset your body. Soften your mind. Release what you don’t need to carry.
And then, when you’re ready… begin again. 🔥🧘‍♀️
