THE ADHD DIARIES #3 š
Dosage increase as of Friday, and itās bought about some changes. 30mg felt like I was looking through a peephole of what things would be like, and then going up to 50mg is like itās opened the doorā¦
Appetite - still in the mud. 1.2kg down from 12 days ago. Not thrilled. Then again, thatās what happens when youāre in that deficit every day. Itās been a deficit I canāt maintain but equally, I also canāt stomach enough food to bring me back up to surface level. Lots of changes need to be made in the nutrition departmentā¦
Clarity and focus though - itās coming. I can finish tasks. I can be pulled away, and still finish tasks. Productivity during the day is better, evening I crash. Definitely related to nutrition and not putting enough energy back into the body though.
Tiredness gets almost wiped out on these 50mg. If I have a poor nights sleep - bang, hereās it all solved. Itās wild.
Everything so far is being measured. Titration continues again next week⦠letās see what the next steps of the process look like.

ADHD + HYROX = š¤
After officially being diagnosed with Combined ADHD - what came before that was lots of questions around specific behaviours, especially linked to my training with HYROX.
I started to notice patterns of behaviour that upon research, are incredibly common with ADHD. Whether that be hyper focus on race day, not really feeling too much pressure on big occasions or simply not celebrating achievementsā¦
There are lots of highs and lows with ADHD & their relationship with our health and fitness⦠and after quite a few requests, Iām here to start discussing them š«”

THE ADHD DIARIES #2 š¤
Officially boxed off just over a week of Elvanse and we have been experiencing a fair few things⦠letās talk through them š§
Surprisingly, despite my past dependence on an emotional support red bull or Monster, right now I have no need or desire to consume either. Funny what happens when you replace a stimulant with meds that are stimulants⦠š¤·āāļø
Appetite⦠womp womp. Thatās not what Iām enjoying at the moment. When you have a fast metabolism, and you burn a lot of calories a day, not having the ability to put them back in because your appetite barely exists hasnāt been fun. Iāve been in a deficit since I started the meds, and itās not been what I wanted⦠so we are looking at changing that, or seeing the patterns that perhaps cause that too.
Clarity and focus - two things I have seen a subtle change in, but where the nutrition isnāt quite where I want it, I think thatās where itās suffering slightly. If I can get my nutrition back up - letās see if that changes.
Dosage increase from Friday. 30mg now to 50mg Friday, and I will be intrigued to see if the increased dosage heightens the issues Iāve had or brings me back down to a level playing fieldā¦
Still open minded. Still trusting the process for now. We keep it moving.

THE ADHD DIARIES š #1
Friday was Day 1 of me officially starting medication for my ADHD. Some of you know that in January, I was diagnosed with Combined ADHD - and since then, Iāve been on the waitlist for medication.
After titration, I was prescribed Elvanse, and the process begins now reallyā¦
ADHD was something I didnāt realise really affected lots of parts of my life, whether that be personally, professionally, financially - and I am using this space as a way to document how Iām finding the process. Once a week, Iāll post how my journey is going.
I know there are people on my page who also have ADHD. I know theyāre people who have spoke to me about the process too⦠but here we are, raw, unedited, discussing the good, the bad and the ugly that comes with ADHD, living with it and how it can affect me day to day.

ANOTHER ONE BOXED OFF ā
More clips from a session last week, as weāve began reintroducing strength training into the routine again.
Adjusting back to training post ultra was always going to take time, it was always going to be difficult and Iāve given myself grace and time for it. However, Iām finally in a position where I feel ready to kick on.
12 weeks from now, itāll be Birmingham and Iāll be on the track racing with & racing with Simon, aiming to do them proud which is essentially a comeback to the sport after all the marathon antics š
One thing is for sure though, I need to be stronger & I need my speed back⦠so letās get back to work š«”

JULY WAS AN ALL-TIMER š
š«¶
Every emotion under the sun was felt in this month. Anything you can think of, weāve gone through it.
Biggest goals of my life - boxed off.
So much love and care around us.
So much support.
So much happiness.
July - youāve still tested me so much. But, youāve really shown me that life is worth living, and for that - I will look back on this month as an all-timer.
My business is growing day by day, my clients are all flying, goals have been set, established and roadmapped. What a second half of the year this will be š«”
I am finally starting to understand the magnitude of my achievements this year, and just how mental I have been to do all that in 7 months š
No more holidays, for now⦠š

FLASHBACK TO HYROX TIMES š
This photo was on the day of me and Livās mixed doubles race in Manchester, January of this year. Iāve never shared this photo publicly but what I can tell you is this:
Iād never looked leaner.
Iād never looked better.
Iād never been faster.
Iād never been stronger.
However, I do not look like this right now. 7 months has let my aerobic capacity grow beyond belief and mean I am the fittest I have ever been⦠but the body isnāt in a place Iām happy with. Iāve lost muscle. Iāve lost speed. Iāve lost the cutting edge⦠all things that were bound to happen, but now is the time to go back to the realm I was making moves in.
I think those around me, and those who are a sucker for hints, know that going back to HYROX for the next season was always the play⦠itās where Iāve felt fittest, strongest and ultimately happiest with my mind and my body. I am so proud of my achievements this year, but what Iāve struggled to come to terms with is the changes Iāve had to make to get there. My body has had to change, my diet has had to change, my routine, my mind, all of it.
So now, why am I showing you this picture?
Me and Livās race was arguably the peak of my powers. My best Hyrox result in terms of time & having come after my Pro PB, it was also when I was most confident and secure in my performance. So I am sharing this as a benchmark, as a promise - that I will be back at that level, except bigger, stronger and greater.
I have been letting this come down do what it needs to do, and now, itās time to take control and steer the ship to its next objective.
Eyes are on October, with doubles with Emily & Simon in HYROX Birmingham as well as a Hybrid Games doubles with Carlos.
I will not be letting them down. I will not be letting myself down. I will be leading by example, and taking them into some big races with me - and making them proud.
El Capitano. Heās back. Heās going to lead from the front - again.
