Reminder to everyone!!! You should have had an email about Olchfa and Bishop Gore Pool are CLOSED THIS WEEK. Bishop Gore will resume the 8/09 and I have will have an update about Olchfa on the 7/09. Thank you for your patience 😊

Has anyone picked up a ladies dark navy Speedo Endurance bather from Olchfa changing room tonight please? A member of staff has accidentally had hers taken when changing xx

Thank you all for your support and patience tonight when the fire alarm went off at Olchfa and we had to evacuate the pool xx
Luckily it was a false alarm xx

Swimming pool update

We're pleased to share that good progress is being made on the swimming pool plant refurbishment.

The original filter tank is currently being removed and, once this stage is complete, work will begin to prepare and level the surface ready for the installation of the new filter tanks.

To help keep the project moving forward, the school is accommodating all works alongside the normal operation of the school week, allowing welding contractors to continue making progress.

As both a school facility and a valued community resource, we would like to thank all our users for their continued patience and support while these essential improvements are carried out.

We are also continuing to maintain the pool's water quality throughout the closure, ensuring we are in the best possible position to reopen as quickly as possible once the refurbishment is complete.

We would also like to reassure all users that the school has not invoiced any clubs or groups for swimming pool sessions during the pool closure. If you are awaiting a refund for cancelled sessions, we kindly ask that you contact your club directly, as they are responsible for managing any refunds owed to their members.

Thank you again for your continued understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool once these important improvements have been completed.

There will be no swimming in Olchfa tomorrow (Thursday 25th June)
The site will be closed due to the extreme heat we are expecting
Lessons are on today (Wednesday) and Saturday as normal

Olchfa School is open as normal today (Wednesday) so swimming is going ahead as planned.

It looks like Bishop Gore Pool is going to be closed for some time. We have some spaces available on a Thursday in Olchfa. Please contact me if we have not already spoken, to arrange a space.

Unfortunately I have just received an email advising that Bishop Gore pool is closed with
immediate effect !!!
I am unsure how long this will be for but I have requested this information from the school to give me a guide on timeframes.
