**PLEASE KEEP DOGS OFF OUR RUGBY PITCHES**

Despite repeated reminders and clearly visible signage, we continue to have problems with dogs fouling on our rugby pitches.

This evening, our Violets were training and several players left the pitch with dog faeces on their boots — and even on the rugby balls. This is completely unacceptable.

Later this week, our senior and junior teams will all be using the pitches. As a result, additional work will now have to be carried out to ensure the playing surfaces are properly cleaned and safe for our players.

It is incredibly frustrating, disgusting and, most importantly, a serious health and safety concern.

We are once again asking everyone who uses the surrounding area to **PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS OFF THE RUGBY PITCHES AT ALL TIMES** and to respect the signage in place.

Our pitches are used by players of all ages, including children. Please help us keep them clean, safe and suitable for everyone to enjoy.

With the summer holidays now upon us, we're kicking off our Postcard from a Magpie series, where our players (and maybe the parents too) proudly wear the magpie on their chest, wherever the destination - some in far fling places, others a little closer to home.

🦆 Wow, what an incredible day we had at our 2026 Duck Race 🦆

We were blown away by the incredible support – thank you to everyone who bought ducks, entered the raffle, and came along to enjoy the day. From the busy stalls and games to the hugely popular sizzling barbecue, it was fantastic to see so many families having fun and supporting the club.

After a quacking race, the amazing Chris Summerill went down an absolute storm as he kept everyone entertained, while our riverside beer garden provided the perfect setting. It really was a day to remember.

In total, 300 ducks entered the river at the start line – and we're delighted to report all 300 came home. At the end of an eventful race, the first three ducks to cross the finish line were:

1st: Haydn Manorek (No. 293)
2nd: Georgina Thomas (No. 160)
3rd: John Bryn Jenkins (No. 10)

Huge thanks once again to everyone for your support – we're already looking forward to next year.
