Everyone at Swansea RFC was saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Hamer on Sunday.

A Skewen boy, Peter played at centre for Swansea’s 1st XV during 1962-63 and 1963-64 seasons under captains Dai Parkhouse and Dewi Bebb. He made his 1st XV debut against Coventry on 17th November 1962 and last played in a drawn match with Gloucester on 15th February 1964, in which match he scored a try. Peter’s career had also seen him play for Skewen, Neath and Maesteg.

He is well-remembered by the Former players at Swansea and we offer our condolences to his family at this difficult time.
