Our Summer Holiday Kidz Club is back at Caswell Beach, running from Monday 20th July to Friday 28th August.

Designed for children aged 7–16, our Kidz Club is a fun, safe, and active way to spend the summer holidays. Each day includes surf coaching, ocean safety, beach awareness, confidence-building, games, and plenty of time in the sea with our experienced instructors.

What we are about at Gower Surf Academy!

Some incredible pictures of Caswell Bay at the end of the 19th century.
This was back when the main use of the buildings on the beach at Redcliff (the platform kids use to jump off now) and what is now Mumbles Life Guards were the 2 water pump houses that would supply water to the local area.

In the second picture you can see the windmill on top of the hill, built in 1883 to power the pump houses. And a much less developed area behind, where the original Redcliff house stood before the monstrosity of the Redcliff Apartments was erected 🤢.

The third picture must have been either before the windmill or afterwards, but shows the West pump house nestled into the Redcliff hill.

Last picture is of the original Redcliff house, with its almost intimidating appearance, standing alone, watching over the beach.

These are the earliest pictures I've ever seen of the beautiful beach I call home. I thought some of you would also appreciate seeing them as they contain so much history and a glimpse of a time where things were much simpler and concrete didn't rule.

That day that Ben Howard and his band came down to surf with us and I had the pleasure of giving Billie Marten a surf lesson!

Always welcome and it was a pleasure to meet all of you, be good to get another surf in again 🤙

What a lovely way to start the day, massive thank you to 2 of my most dedicated surfers, Cerys and Nonnie for making me these delicious rocky road pieces (already tried one and they won't last long 🤤) and a truly touching card. Sometimes I think its easy to forget what a massive impact we can have on the next generation, but at times like this I feel like I'm doing something right!

Keep on surfing and you'll find the best version on yourself for sure 🤙 massive thank you girls 🤗🤙🏄‍♀️🏄‍♀️😎

Looking for a fantastic way to keep your kids engaged and entertained during the half term? Join us at Gower Surf Academy’s Halloween Half Term Kids Club! 🎃🎃

Located on Caswell Beach in Swansea, our surf school is excited to offer a thrilling half term club for children aged 7-16. The club will run from October 28th to November 1st, with sessions everyday from 10:00am to 3:00pm, ensuring a full day of supervised fun.🏄‍♀️🏄‍♂️🏖

Kids will enjoy a variety of activities including surfing lessons, beach games, safety briefings, and more! A lunch break will be scheduled to refuel, this will be shorter than usual due to colder weather, with the main chippy shut, packed lunches will be needed! 🧃🥪

Our dedicated instructors will oversee your children, ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the activities. This club provides a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn, socialize, and stay active during the Half Term Holidays.💪🤙

Usually during these holidays we can expect better waves than usual with water temps that won’t recover until late May!🔥🙌
