“What a fantastic sport!” 💕💙

A couple of weeks ago, Morgan and Nathan came along to their first ever Korfball session with Swansea Roar, and we’re so grateful they were willing to share their experience with us!

They said:

“What a fantastic sport! Something entirely different with a great atmosphere; as newbies, we were welcomed and really supported to grasp the different skills and drills which were super helpful - and even ended up in a mini game at the end to put it all together.

We loved every minute of it.

Thanks for a brilliant experience! We can’t wait to come along next week!”

We absolutely love hearing how much new players enjoy their first session!
From learning the basics and trying out new skills, to finishing with a mini game, there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved from the very first session.

Thank you, Morgan and Nathan, for giving Korfball a go and for sharing your experience! We can’t wait to see you both back on court! 🏐✨

Fancy giving Korfball a go? Come along and join us! Everyone is welcome at Swansea Roar 🦁💙💕

Korfball is a fantastic sport for bringing people together.

At Swansea Roar we love to train hard, we love to have fun at training and we love to socialise outside of training!

These pictures really capture how much fun we have when we're together.

So why not join in? Come and give it a go!

Litter picking is just one of our focusses over this season for giving back to the community.

Throughout September we've been out and about litter picking around Swansea.

We've had some laughs doing it, and it feels so good to do something for the community 💚

What is Korfball?

We get asked so often we thought we'd make a short video to give you the basics.

Interested? In or around Swansea? Come along to one of our training sessions and see for yourself how much fun it is 😊

🦁 Why Korfball? Just ask Darren!

Darren joined Swansea Roar back in January 2023, when the club was just getting started. Three years later… he’s still here, still loving it, and still finding ways to wind his fiancée up on court 😂

From trying something new… to becoming part of the furniture. 🦁💙🩷

And that’s exactly what we love about Swansea Roar, great people, plenty of laughs, and a sport you’ll actually want to keep coming back to.

Fancy giving Korfball a go? Come and join us! 👋

The saxophones just keep getting louder...

Turns out you shouldn't believe your coaches when they say "Let's ease into the pre-season"

Detergent companies, we're looking for sponsors 👀🙏

Read Sarah’s full review here:

I attended my first ever korfball session and I had no idea on what it involved. When I saw the hoops, I thought no way am I going to be any good at this....but the team welcomed me in and made me feel at ease. We had a go at scoring and… I got some in!

Warm ups and drills were fun and we got into ways of scoring. Who knew that I could score 3 in a row from 3m. Looking forwards to next session already, well once my arms recover!

Thank you Swansea Roar Korfball for being so awesome!

We’re always welcoming new players, so if you missed out yesterday, send us a message and we’d be more than happy to welcome you to one of our future sessions!🦁💙🩷
