Very interesting paper, but I wonder if the theoretical possibility of a 0.4 second or less improvement in a race time based on paddle forces measured in straight line paddling would make anyone coach or train any differently ๐ค

A very flat Shepperton, just right for my first time back in a slalom C1 ๐๐ผ
I managed roughly two hrs with a short leg stretch in the middle ๐ฎโ๐จ and I could still walk afterwards ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ

A bit of maintenance work on the Turquoise terrapin ready for Canoefest. All the woodwork cleaned and re oiled, and the solo seat re-laced.
I made the mistake of not photographing the old seat before I cut the old cord off, so it took some head scratching and some trial and error attempts to get it finished.

About time! 6 years for this decision!
Maybe also a possibility here for another (Sharks) moving water slalom training site on the Colne below the weir above the sailing club?
