One for your diaries! This is a quite poignant event in memory of Derek Hamilton whose surviving family are active members of ‘The Waves’ and Junior section at the Club. Please support the efforts if you can. North East Premier League – Midweek League Champions 2026 🏆🏆

Congratulations to our Midweek XI, who’ve entertained us on Thursday nights throughout another fantastic campaign, battling off some strong competition to secure back-to-back league titles.

Another brilliant achievement from the lads, and one the whole club can be proud of.

Join us on Sunday for the first edition of our Hedworth Williamson Finals days. We kick off with the 2026 Bowl final which is generously sponsored by our friends over at Procure Smart . The action kicks off from 10:30am with Hetton Lyons CC v ryhope cricket club, followed by Whitburn Cricket Club v Seaham Park Cricket Club

Our bar and refreshment hut will be open all day long! 🍻 ☕️

1’s on their travels to Gateshead Fell tomorrow with a single point lead at the top of the table whilst the 2’s entertain Newcastle CC in another crucial encounter as the 2026 season enters its last 4 weeks. Weather looks favourable. Bar open at the Village from Mid-day 🏏🌞🍻🥂

The waves had the great pleasure of playing on the Durham County ground at Megafest 2026 organised by and playing in the top tier trophy competition. After 3 successes in the group stages we fell slightly short in the play off for overall winners against a very strong and talented Hetton Lyon’s. We also received some vital playing equipment donated by as a newly formed side. The girls have come a long way, achieving great success in such a short space of time. 🏏
