Another dominant performance from the lads today.

Could’ve easily been 4 or 5 up in the first 15 minutes but their keeper decided to turn into a prime Peter Cech preventing us from doing so. The opposition then managed to bag a screamer putting us 0-1 down, which fortunately kicked the lads arses into gear. Went into half time leading 3-1, and we just built from there.

The game finished 8-1 but it could’ve easily been about 15 if our lads possessed the ability to score within 10 yards of goal 😂

Great team spirit and togetherness on display, all 6 subs getting plenty of game time, what Sundays are all about.

Dominant display from start to finish against a 10-man Wear United.

Some amazing saves from the opposition goalkeeper kept the scoreline at 4-0 going into first half water break. The lads began taking their foot off the gas and were swiftly reminded at HT that we needed to put the game to bed. A further 6 goals were scored throughout the remaining 45 minutes.

Never looked like losing but fair play to Wear United for turning up and getting a run out. Great bunch of blokes and I’m certain I’ll be having nightmares of Sam Wade screaming for offsides for the foreseeable.

Tough one to take today. We played well below the standard we expect from ourselves, and the performance showed. We gave them far too many opportunities, but in truth, the game could’ve gone either way, with both teams having spells where they controlled the game.

A tough, physical match from both sides, but fair challenges throughout. No bitching or crying, exactly what you want to see from a Sunday League game.

A good lesson to take away, and we’re fully aware of what we need to focus on to keep improving and putting points on the board.

Best of luck to The Prior. Great bunch of young lads, and I’m sure they’ll start climbing the leagues in the coming years if they can keep that group together.

Jolly Potters South Hylton FC 3–1 houghton comrades

A hard fought victory for the lads today as we came away with a 3–1 win against Houghton Comrades.

It was a good game of football on the day, with both sides putting in plenty of effort. The lads knew we’d have to work extremely hard right until the final whistle, and the lads showed great determination to see the game out and secure all three points.

Third friendly of the campaign against the other team based at The Jolly Potter- South Hylton , a very strong team sitting 4 divisions above us. Were outclassed in every department but had some brilliant moments which lead to 3 well worked goals.
