WOA win for Leon as the other team couldn’t field a team.

3rd spring cup game🏆

A tough one to take today for us as our lads came out on the wrong end of a close 2-1 defeat. Hats off to Whitburn they were a well organised team and were switched on from the very first kickoff and deserved the win if I’m been totally honest we weren’t at the races today if all the lads were honest we gave away to many sloppy passes and didn’t close the runners down and we weren’t clinical enough in front of goal which cost us the win today that’s football… head up lads and on to the next one 🟡⚽️👏🏻

MOTM - Alistair was relentless for us today constantly breaking play up, driving his team forward and made some crucial tackles to keep his team in the game at times well done mate 🏆

2nd spring cup game div 4🏆

A slow start from Leon today saw our opponents take an early 2-0 lead by starting the brighter of the two teams and could have easily had a 3rd/4th goal if not for our keeper super Ted to pull off not one but multiple saves to keep the score down. Second half the lads came out with a renewed energy and confidence as we got the ball down and started to play our normal passing possession football which resulted in us creating two great scoring opportunities for Victor and Thomas to slot home from two close range shots to take us back level in the game and with only a few minutes left a brilliant executed long ball from Alistair to Ronnie for him to take down on his right foot and let off a power drive shot into the bottom corner of the net to secure all three points for Leon 🟡⚽️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

MOTM - Ronnie he never stopped running back and helping his team defend his goal making some crucial tackles and was in the right place at right time to score the winner for his team well done mate🏆

1st game of the spring cup div 4🏆

A brilliant start to the spring cup from our lads this morning coming out on top against a strong SWE side who had just came down from division 3. Right from the first whistle Leon golds came flying out the blocks and taking a well deserved lead and controlled most of the possession in the game with some great interlinking attacking football but to SWE credit they did show great character and heart to come back into game and push us right to the final whistle for the win. Hats off to both teams for playing some outstanding football and scoring some cracking goals but most of all showing good sportsmanship well done lads 🟡⚽️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

MOTM - Jenson he had an excellent game today bossing the midfield for his team 🏆
