⚽️ EUROPA LEAGUE SESSION CHANGES 🔵🟡

With Sunderland back in Europe, we’re making a few changes to our usual Thursday night sessions.

On the following dates, MVFC Sunderland will move from Thursday to Tuesday:

🚨 SETTLE A DEBATE 🚨

We need you to settle a disagreement that occurred while Dave and I were away. 😂

We’re having a lovely, peaceful stroll through Cambridge. ☀️❤️

Then we come across a HORNETS’ NEST. 🐝

Hornets are literally flying towards my face, so naturally I do the only sensible thing…

RUN.

And I mean RUN. 🏃🏻‍♀️💨

I was approximately halfway back to Washington before Dave had even realised I’d moved. 😂

Meanwhile, my loving husband is just standing there like an absolute donut, casually watching the hornets flying in and out of their nest as though we’ve stumbled across a David Attenborough documentary.

Which brings us to the debate…

🅰️ SCENARIO A — TEAM LAURA

As any good knight in shining armour should, Dave should have immediately recognised the danger, scooped me up in his arms and run for the hills to protect me.

Obviously. 👸🏻⚔️

🅱️ SCENARIO B — TEAM DAVE

According to Dave, we should have found somewhere nice to sit down and WATCH THE HORNETS TOGETHER.

Yes. Really.

⚽⛳ MVFC’s First Social Activity – FootGolf! 🍻

Today we headed to York for our first MVFC social activity — and what a cracking day we’ve had!

A huge thank you to York FootGolf for hosting us. Everyone had a fantastic time and, judging by today, we think this might have just earned itself a permanent place in the MVFC calendar! 👀⚽⛳

After FootGolf, we headed to the Smokehouse for some well-earned food before enjoying a pint or two in the bar. 🍔🍻

🏆 Apparently Graham Scott won the FootGolf…

However, Andy Slater has already launched an official appeal and is demanding a full review of the scores. 😂

VAR is currently unavailable for comment. 👀

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day what it was. ❤️💙

Our social activities are all about getting together away from the football pitch, having a laugh, trying something different and enjoying each other’s company.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

It was a pleasure to head to Goals Soccer Centre Wembley today to discuss our upcoming tournament, being delivered in partnership with The Army Football Association and GOALS. ⚽️🇬🇧

A huge thank you to Simon and Martin for taking the time to meet with us and for their support in helping us bring this project together.

And, as always, it was a pleasure to catch up with Issey Lee-Fisher! 💙
