Sudbury Bowls Club vs Lowestoft Railway
In a beautiful surrounding in the shadow of Framlingham Castle, the contest was tight from the start to the finish.
Sudbury unfortunately losing by 8 shots overall, we wish Lowestoft all the best in the final.
This capped a good season for our mens team, we faced some tough opposition during the various Suffolk Bowls competitions.
Last few games to be played and then most of the team move indoors for the winter, already looking forward to the Summer 2027 season.
A massive well done to all the guys who made the journey this morning, and two those who came along to support.

Our first County Cup Finals Day is nearly here! Join us on Sunday 30th August at Framlingham Castle BC (IP13 9BS) for the Bert Edward’s Semi-Finals & Final 🎉

🕥 Semi-Finals – 10:30am start

🔹The Borough of Eye Bowls Club vs Haughley Playing Field Bowls Club

🏆 Final (Provisional Start Time) – 2:00pm

Come along and support the players as they battle it out for the Bert Edward’s title!

☕ Throughout the day there will be tea, coffee and biscuits, with the bar open all day.
🥓 Bacon rolls will be available in the morning, followed by hot dogs in the afternoon.
🍰 There may also be cake later in the day!

Good luck to all four clubs, and we look forward to seeing plenty of supporters there! 👏

Congratulations to Sudbury Bowls Club A Team, for winning Division A in the Steeple Bumpstead Bowls League Arthur Spackman Pairs.
A truly fantastic achievement, playing 10 games and winning all 10, they travelled to Balsham tonight knowing the overall win tonight decided the league title, and they didn't disappoint.
Winning 25-13 on rink 1
Losing 13-16 on rink 3
Losing 12-14 on rink 4
But winning overall 50-43
Picking up a 6-4 points win
Well done to everyone who took part and played during the season.
Attention turns to The B team tomorrow as they fight it out to secure promotion from Division C.
