A reminder that The Round Strathaven 50 (RS50) and 15 (RS15) Charity cycle events take place in SIX weeks on Sunday 16th August. The event is filling very quickly so if you are considering entering don't wait too long!
Start 1 (9.30am) of the 50-mile is FULL (but has a waiting list open).
Start 2 (10.30am) of the 50-mile has less than 150 places left.
Start 3 (11.30am) - the 15-mile family route has about 40 places left.

Start 2 (10.30am) of the 50-mile has only 177 spaces left.
Start 3 (11.30am) - the 15-mile family route has 55 family spaces left but will fill fast as we get nearer the summer holidays.

The Round Strathaven 50 (RS50) and 15 (RS15) Charity cycle events take place on Sunday 16th August.
As last year the format will be:
There will be TWO strict registration and start times for the FIFTY-MILE RS50 (9.30am and 10.30am) and ONE for the FIFTEEN-MILE FAMILY RS15 (11.30am). There will NOT be any “entry on the day” for either event.
You choose your start time by entering the event that has your preferred time (subject to availability).

Firstly we are delighted to be able to announce that we are now a registered charity, Strathaven Cycle Events (SC054733). We will continue to use Round Strathaven 50 (RS50) and 15 (RS15) as the "brand" though. Unfortunately this process has taken MUCH longer than anticipated hence the delay in launching - apologies!

Entry Central will open for entries on Sunday 15th at 5pm. This year's event will take place on Sunday 16th August. As always, we expect a lot of interest in so please enter early to get the start you want.

Apologies for the delay in opening Entry Central for the 2026 event (16th August). We are in the process of converting to a charity and setting up the new bank account is taking MUCH longer than expected. We are hopeful that everything will be sorted in the next few weeks and we can open for entries late February. In the meantime make sure the event is in your diary!

A brief update on how the money raised this year has been distributed and the 2026 date for your diary.

Save the date : The 2026 Round Strathaven Cycle will be held on Sunday 16th August. Entry Central will open early 2026 - keep an eye out for the pre-opening email.

We have been able to distribute an incredible £18,000 from the 2025 Round Strathaven Cycle. The beneficiaries of the effort you all put in getting round the routes were:
Strathaven Guides and Scouts who received £4,500 each towards Hall upkeep and other costs.
The 4 rural primary schools we cycle past (Gilmourton, Sandford, Glassford and Chapelton) shared £1000 to be used as their PTA felt appropriate.
Strathaven Academy received £1000 to be used as their PTA felt appropriate.
Strathaven Memory Club received £500 towards materials.
Finally Heath Help International, a charity we have supported for many years, received £6,500. This will significantly help with a project they are working on in India to buy land and build a new school for the Happy Valley Special Needs School. The work this charity does with relatively small amounts of money is incredible. Please have a look at their website : hhi.org.uk
Alongside this the Loaves & Fishes Foodbank received over a 1000 food donations from everyone taking part.
Thank you all so much for supporting the Round Strathaven over the years and making a huge impact locally and internationally.
