Over the summer, Emily and Lisa were awarded places on the CTVC Media Support Programme’s Podcast Training Programme through Rank Foundation! 🎤

They kicked things off with an inspiring taster session exploring podcast equipment, production, hosting and editing- packed with practical insights that left them energised about what’s possible.

They’re now looking forward to making the most of the podcast mentoring offer and exploring how podcasting could help Lifespace share stories and experiences in new and exciting ways. Watch this space! 💙

Could your school benefit from a team of trained Peer Listeners?

Lifespace is offering Peer Listener Training Workshops for schools across Warwickshire, helping young people develop the skills, confidence and compassion to support their peers.

The workshops are practical, engaging and interactive, using role plays, real-life scenarios and group discussion to help students build confidence and turn learning into action.

By training Peer Listeners, schools can help create a more supportive culture where young people feel heard, connected and empowered.

📍Available for schools across Warwickshire.

The first week back in school can be tough.

Lifespace supervision creates a dedicated, protected space for safeguarding and pastoral staff to pause, reflect and process the emotional weight of their role.

It’s not management or appraisal, it’s confidential, non‑judgemental support from an external professional, helping staff think clearly, build confidence and make informed decisions in complex situations.

In roles where pressure is high and the stakes are higher, supervision helps make that pressure more manageable, shared and sustainable, so those supporting young people are supported too.

A strong start to the new school term at Lifespace. We were joined by Adrian Over for our annual safeguarding refresher, a core part of our four‑year training plan.

Safeguarding is fundamental to our work with young people: essential, sometimes challenging, and always evolving.

This year’s session explored the vital role safeguarding plays in trusted mentoring relationships, alongside the latest KCSIE 2026 updates.

It was also great to welcome some new members of the Lifespace team into the training!

Is your young person starting secondary school this September? 🍂📚

This transition can bring a mix of emotions for both young people and their parents or carers.

While it's natural to want to fix every worry, one of the most helpful things you can do is offer reassurance, encouragement, and a listening ear.

Listen Without Pressure:
Give your child space to talk about their worries and excitement. Sometimes they need someone to listen rather than solve the problem.

Establish a Routine Early:
Practise the school journey, set regular bedtimes, and get organised before term starts. Familiar routines can help reduce anxiety.

Encourage Independence:
Support your child to manage their timetable, homework, and belongings. Building confidence in small tasks can help them feel more capable.

Reassure Them That Nerves Are Normal:
Starting secondary school is a big step. Let them know it's okay to feel nervous and that it can take time to adjust to a new environment.

💙 Lifespace is here to support young people and families through life's changes and challenges. If you or your child need support with emotional wellbeing, we're here to help.
