This is definitely not a “look how beautifully I ride” reel 😂

This is Clyde — our gorgeous 17.2hh Clydesdale — learning the ropes before he joins the riding school properly. ❤️

He’s a big lad, and being a good weight carrier isn’t just about being strong. He needs to understand the job too.

So we’ve been working on the boring-but-important stuff… responding to the leg, listening to the aids, standing when asked, manners, patience and learning that he doesn’t need to make every decision himself 😂

And yes… my riding is very much a work in progress too!

But I actually love this bit. No fancy schooling, no perfect Instagram riding — just quietly helping a horse understand what we’re asking of him and giving him the time to get it right.

Clyde is such a lovely, genuine boy and I think he’s going to be a brilliant addition to the Claydons team. 🐴❤️

Big horses need education, confidence and patience just as much as their riders do.

Watch this space… Clyde is getting ready for work. 🥰

Our Saturday diary is PRETTY FULL 🙌 — but if you’ve suddenly realised you have no plans for Sunday, we can fix that. 😂🐴

🐴 Two new ways to spend time with horses at Claydons – without it being about riding.

We’re really excited to introduce two different 30-minute non-ridden sessions, each offering something a little different.

🌿 NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP TASTER 30 mins – Wednesdays only | 4:30pm & 5pm | Age 10+ - £30 pp limited to 2 people per session

This is for anyone who wants to understand horses better.

Working from the ground, you’ll start learning how horses communicate through body language, how they respond to our own body language and energy, and how we can use this understanding to build trust and connection.

Think learning the horse’s language – practical, fascinating and a completely different side of horsemanship.

Natural Horsemanship Tasters are available WEDNESDAYS ONLY at 4:30pm and 5pm and can be booked directly through ECPro.

💚 HORSE & ME – 30-minute individual sessions | Available by request

Horse & Me is different. These sessions are less about learning horsemanship skills and more about simply having calm, unhurried time with a horse.

Grooming, being around the horse, connecting and enjoying the quiet of the yard – with no pressure to ride or achieve anything. They’re designed around wellbeing, confidence and positive time with horses.

Unlike our Wednesday Natural Horsemanship sessions, Horse & Me isn't restricted to a particular day or time. These sessions can be arranged around availability – just check on ECPro for some slots

So which one?

💚 Want some quiet, individual time with a horse, focused on connection and well being? → Horse & Me

🐴 HOME EDUCATION MORNINGS – SPACES THIS WEEK

What a brilliant first week back we had! 💚

Our Home Education Mornings are running again this week at Claydons, with a few spaces still available.

🌿 Tuesday–Friday | 9am–12pm
🐴 Hands-on time with the horses
🌿 Practical, horse-based learning
🐴 Yard skills and pony care
🌿 Confidence, independence and teamwork
🐴 Plenty of fresh air and time outdoors
💷 £60 per child

These mornings are designed to be relaxed, practical and engaging — giving children the opportunity to learn differently while spending time in our lovely yard environment. And we do a different topic each week with a lovely booklet for the kids to complete! We try and mix horse facts and learning with a bit of maths and English too! See our images!!!

No previous horse experience is needed.

If your child would love a morning spent learning around horses, we’d love to welcome them. 🥰
