Our U12 & U14 Girls are getting ready to get back on the pitch, and we’d love to see familiar faces and plenty of new ones joining us! 🙌

Whether you’ve played before or you’re completely new to rugby, everyone is welcome. Rugby is about friendship, teamwork, confidence and, most importantly, having fun! ❤️

The new rugby season is upon us, and we’re excited to be hosting our Past Players Day at our first home game of the season on Saturday, 12th September 2026!

If you’ve played for any of our men’s or women’s teams in the past, we’d love to welcome you back to the club for a day of reminiscing, catching up with old friends, and enjoying some fantastic hospitality. 🍻

Whether you hung up your boots last season or many years ago, come along and relive some great memories while supporting the club.

This year we’re excited to welcome our friends from Newton Stewart Rugby Club, with the two clubs joining forces to field joint teams at both age groups. 🤝🏉

Whether you’ve played rugby before or you’re completely new to the game, we want you to come along!

Larne RFC 33 – 26 Wigtownshire RFC

Wigtownshire RFC travelled to Larne for a fantastic afternoon of rugby, friendship and camaraderie, providing another opportunity to strengthen the bond within our squad and continue the long-standing friendship between Wigtownshire RFC and Larne RFC.

Wigtownshire got off to a strong start, with Samuel McAuley crossing for the opening try, converted by Blair Forsyth. Further tries from Blair Forsyth, Jason McKie and Robin McAuley, along with two more conversions from Blair, saw Wigtownshire build an impressive total.

Larne responded with five tries and four conversions in an entertaining and competitive match.

Final score: Larne RFC 33 – 26 Wigtownshire RFC

An incredible shift on his debut — thoroughly deserved!

It was a great game played in exactly the right spirit, and another memorable chapter in the relationship between our two clubs.

Pre-season is well and truly here, and what better way to kick things off than with a trip across the water to visit our old friends at Larne RFC.

As most of you know, we have a long-standing friendship and history with Larne RFC, and we're looking forward to continuing to build on that relationship for many years to come.

We're travelling with a large playing squad, with 18 Alickados, all proud, long-standing members of WRFC, making the trip to represent the club. This is about more than just rugby; it's an opportunity to strengthen the bond within our squad, build new friendships, and celebrate the fantastic relationship between our two clubs.

Represent WRFC with pride, enjoy the occasion, and make it a day to remember.
