Folks we have another great fitting lined from the experienced fitters from Callaway. We have spaces from 12 to 4pm mixed between 30 minute slots for single club fittings or 1 hour for full bag/ multiple club fitting.

In Memory of Alfie Crompton

Today we remember Alfie Crompton with quiet reflection and lasting affection. Though words can never fully capture the value of a life, they can carry the memory of a man whose presence meant so much to those around him.

Alfie will be remembered for his warmth, his community spirit, and his genuine love of local sport. He found great enjoyment in the matches, the camaraderie, and the familiar faces that brought people together week after week. Sport was more than a pastime to him — it was part of the fabric of community life that he valued deeply.

He was especially respected for the skill, pride, and enthusiasm he brought to caring for the golf course at Hill Valley and the football pitches at Sion Mills. Through his hard work and dedication, he helped create places where others could gather, compete, and enjoy the games he loved so much. His attention to detail and commitment never went unnoticed, and many will remember the quiet pride he took in keeping the grounds to the highest standard.

For those who knew and loved him, remembrance is more than sorrow; it is gratitude. Gratitude for a life lived with purpose, kindness, and a deep connection to the local community.
