'Laughter is the best medicine'. This is the 'meme' that induced Dr Madan Kataria to create Laughter Yoga as a health and wellbeing tool 31 years ago that is fun to take part in.

At 6.00 pm today(15 July) there will be a Laughter Yoga session at Bob Jones Community Hub in Wolverhampton this evening from 6.00 pm for an hour of playful exercises combined with deep breathing and hand clapping.

Come and join us and let's spread the giggles .... and you can still get home in time to watch England V Argentina😂

I've just about come back down to earth after an awesome weekend at the Laughter Yoga Teacher's Reunion at a north London hotel. We Laughed, we shared, we sang, we danced and we played. The excitement, enthusiasm and love that flowed felt so nurturing and supportive, I look forward to sharing the joy at my forthcoming Laughter Yoga sessions.

Laughter Yoga session at Wordsley Community Centre tomorrow from 7.00 pm. We shall meet at the centre but it may be too hot in our usual room so we may run the session at the nearby park - 'al fresco'.

I'm full of ideas from this weekend's Laughter Yoga Teachers reunion AND we shall be celebrating 15 years since my first Laughter Yoga session at this venue (11 July 2011).

For around 3 years now I have run a monthly Laughter Yoga session for U3A Online Learning that is accessed by U3A (University of the Third Age) members from around the country via Zoom.

After each session, the U3A office sends me feedback from participants and many of them are very kind, saying how much they enjoy the sessions.

The session that took place is May was during the heatwave so I planned the session to be gentle without too much physical effort and still fun. We did a few exercises and sang to 'The Laughing Policeman' video that I took recently at a Laughter Yoga Conference and, taking the heat into account, I read a 15-minute Yoga Nidra to finish the session.

Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation - a kind of 'waking sleep', raising awareness to a guided relaxation and awareness of every body part so the mind is occupied only with the body.

Here is one of the most touching feedback notifications I have received and one that I shall treasure:

What an awesome Laughter Yoga session at Wordsley Community Centre this evening. They were mostly newcomers as several of my regulars weren't able to make this time.

Only one of the newcomers had tried Laughter Yoga before and by the end the connections and playfulness between them was incredible.

At the end of the session, they agreed to do the Lawnmower Laughter exercise again so I could video it. Here it is ... clearly they were having so much fun ....
