One week since we took our Frøya friends through the streets of not so sunny Stornoway! 🌧🌫

Friday saw the team enjoy stopping by some famous sites and popping into our local shops. The rain didn't hold them back as they took a gander through the Castle Grounds, with help and knowledge from Liz Carmichael ⭐️

They explored the halls of Lews Castle, learned a thing or two in the museum and finally dined for a beautiful afternoon tea by the amazing . 🧁☕️🍰

The day didn't stop there... some team members from were waiting to challenge our Norwegian friends to a game of badminton! 🏸 safe to say they all had a blast... who doesn’t love a bit of competition! 🏆

The Caladh Inn made sure our guests were well fed before we took them upstairs and treated them to a fantastic ceilidh dance! 🕺💃 reported as the best Stornoway has seen for a long time!!

We would like to thank our band, Ackie, Alex John, Calum, Ken, Sandy, Elsa, Gary, and Ewan. Our amazing Highland dancers, Robyn, Lily, Rachel and Anna. Also thanks to Annemaree for organising them. Also a huge thank you to Dods and Mary Joan, and all the other dancers for keeping the dance floor full all night long!🎵🎶

We hope our guests had a fantastic couple of days with us here in Lewis, and that the memories they made in the Western Isles will stay with them forever. 💛💙

Our friends continued their journey and headed south to Barra for more fun, culture and ceilidh dancing with . ❤️💚

Day 2 with our Norwegian friends ☀️
The agenda: sunshine, sea views, cold drinks, plenty of laughs, and trying not to melt in the heat. Safe to say the Norwegians are getting the full "rare summer day" experience.

They kicked off the day with a trip west to visit the beautiful Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, where the locals sang them a wee tune. They were amazed by the local architecture and way of life from all those years ago.

The history tour continued round the coast to stop by the Carloway Broch. On the way to the famous Callanish stones they pulled over to say hello to some friendly highland cows.

Arriving at the stunning Reef Beach in Uig, took their breath away with white sand and turquoise sea views! The day was spent sunbathing, sea swimming, beach games and of course a special experience with Saltbox Sauna. Soup, sandwiches and fresh baking was the lunch, followed by a delicious pizza for dinner on the beach!🍕

None of this would have been possible without the help of our local community. We would like to extend a huge thank you to for sorting out a minibus to chauffeur our guests.

A fantastic day making memories, one that none of us will forget. 🇧🇻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
