🤔 Been reading our wall wondering what it means? Now you can find out!
Check out the link below for a bit of information behind the Gàidhlig in our lifting room, and even a voice recording - so that you can nail it next time you are in! ⬇️
As the article says, a number of our staff are happy to speak in Gàidhlig, feuch e nuair a tha sibh an seo!
Bho neart gu neart
Ma tha thu a’ dol bho neart gu neart, tha seo a’ ciallachadh gu bheil thu a’ dèanamh adhartas ceum air cheum. Ma nì thu do dhìcheall ’s gun obraich thu air sgil no laigse a choreigin, tha fhios gun tig piseach ort an ceann streath – fiù ’s ged a bheir e greis.
Tha luchd-obrach Ionad Spòrs Leòdhais a’ dol bho neart gu neart a thaobh leudachadh cleachdadh na Gàidhlig agus len cuid obrach ann an Spòrs is Cur-seachad. Nach tèid sibh a-steach ach am faic sibh an dreach snasail ùr a th’ air an gym agus beagan cabadaich fhaighinn sa Ghàidhlig?
This means ‘from strength to strength’. If you put the effort in and do your best, you can improve any skill and overcome any obstacle in your way, even if it takes a while.
ISL staff are going from strength to strength in their work in Sport and Leisure as well as increasing and normalising the use of Gaelic. Why don’t you pop in to see how they have transformed the gym and have a wee chat in Gaelic?

🐾🚔 Special Visitor Alert 🚔🐾
We were delighted to welcome a special visitor to the sport centre today, Police Scotland’s sniffer dog, Viv who’s funded by Outer Hebrides Alcohol & Drugs Partnership (OHADP) 🐶
The good news is that this won’t be her only visit. Viv will be visiting us regularly keeping her exercise up sniffing out the place and keeping us on our toes.
We’re looking forward to seeing plenty more of Viv and her Police Scotland colleagues in the future.
