The Western Isles Motocross club was set up to satisfy the growing number of solo MX bikes and Quads in the Western Isles.
From the outset one of the main aims of the club was to provide a safe and legal track where members can ride. On the 8th of September 2007 the club were very pleased to open their new motocross site. Many thanks go to all the individuals, businesses and organisations that made this fantastic facility possible. Please feel free to browse the site and if you have any suggestions let us know. As time goes on we will be adding to it and any photos you may have would be most appreciated.

Work day at the track 💪

Made a start on a new trials area at the track this week. The large rocks were kindly dropped off by IA@C Macivers from the nearby quarry. After a bit of head scratching working out how to sink them into the ground we got them in position with Geordie Mitchell's digger. The big tyres are ready for filling in with material to make another obstacle with different options for riding over them. A good start at last anyway and should make a good, fun addition to the facility once finished 👍

The kids are getting the hang of the big track now 👍. All the hard work by the club members over the winter has paid off. It's riding really and there are more improvements planned for this year. JN

I forgot how cool these twin cylinder 2 strokes sound 😊. Brought back some memories, along with sore arms hanging onto it 😊
