🟢⚪🏆 PLAYERS OF THE MATCH 🏆⚪🟢

Not every weekend goes your way - and this was definitely one of those weekends for a few of our GOYFC teams! ⚽💚

While most of the results didn’t fall our way, what certainly wasn’t missing was the effort, determination and fight from our players. They kept working, dug deep and continued right to the final whistle. 💪👏

🌪️⚡ And then there was the GOYFC interclub derby!
Our U11s Typhoons just edged it over the U11s Tornados this time around! A great battle between two teams wearing the same badge. 💚🤍

The Typhoons get the bragging rights this time… 👀😂 but something tells us the Tornados will be even more determined and ready for the battle when round two comes around! 🔥⚽

🏆 A massive WELL DONE to all of this week's Players of the Match! Whether it was for brilliant defending, goals, saves, teamwork, effort or simply refusing to give up - enjoy the recognition, you've earned it! ⭐👏

🟢⚪ IT’S ALMOST FOOTBALL TIME! ⚪🟢
The weekend is here and GOYFC are on the road! 🚗⚽ With almost all of our teams playing away this week, there’ll be plenty of green & white travelling around! 💚🤍
But there’s one fixture that’s a little different… 👀

🌪️ U11s Tornados vs U11s Typhoons 🌪️
An all-Great Oldbury clash! Same club, same badge, but for one game they’ll be on opposite sides! 😂💚 Whatever happens, GOYFC wins that one! 🙌

Our U13s are holding the fort at home 🏠 while the rest of the teams head out for another weekend of grassroots football.
Good luck to every player, coach and team pulling on the GOYFC colours. Play hard, support each other, enjoy your football and represent the badge with pride! ⚽💪

Across the club there were brilliant performances, big saves, great tackles, goals, assists and - most importantly plenty of hard work, teamwork and determination. 💪💚

👏 A massive WELL DONE to everyone who picked up a Player of the Match award this weekend! 🏆

Whether you scored the winner, stopped one going in, worked your socks off for the team or simply gave everything you had - enjoy your moment, you earned it! 🙌

We’ve got teams heading out on the road ✈️, plenty of football being played at home 🏠 and a few teams enjoying a well-earned weekend off!
Whatever the result, we want to see our players working together, enjoying their football and representing the badge with pride. 💚🤍

👏 A big shout-out as always to our coaches, referees, volunteers and parents who make every weekend of grassroots football possible.

A mid week league game means one thing! ⚪️🟢⚽️

A mid week Player of the Match Announcement! 🤩🏅

Our u8s took on local team Kings Stanley Dragon at home for their first home game of the season and what a game it was! With coach Jake unable to chose between these 2 players they both bagged a well deserved medal.

This Saturday is a HUGE day for Great Oldbury FC as our newly formed Men's Team take to the pitch for their first ever league game! ⚽🔥

After a busy pre-season, the lads are ready to get their league campaign underway and start writing the first chapter of Great Oldbury FC Men's Team history. 💚

This team is all about creating a pathway for our youth players Great Oldbury Youth FC into senior football, so this weekend is a really special moment for the whole club.

🙌 Spectators are very welcome! Come down, bring the noise and get behind the lads as they begin their journey!

A massive THANK YOU to our main kit sponsors South West Buildings for their fantastic support of our Men's Team. We couldn't do this without businesses getting behind grassroots football. 👏💚

And after the game… 🍕🍻
