What a fantastic weekend our junior cadets had, for most of them this was their first time away from home and they were amazing! Lots of new friends made and they canβt wait until the next one!
We offer a range of different activities from sailing, kayaking and powerboating - to camping, and engineering - plus, so much more!
At Stonehaven you are also able to gain different qualifications that you can take with you once you leave Sea Cadets! UNIT HISTORY

π SOLAR ECLIPSE 2026 π
This evening, our cadets had the fantastic opportunity to witness the solar eclipse β an event we wonβt get the chance to see like this again from Scotland for around 50 years.
Cadets got creative and made their own cereal-box pinhole viewers, allowing them to safely observe the eclipse indirectly. π¦π
A brilliant evening of STEM, learning and making memories! βοΈ
Safety precautions were followed throughout. Cadets did not look directly at the Sun, and all viewing was carried out using safe indirect viewing methods.

β€οΈβ‘ NEW COMMUNITY DEFIBRILLATOR COMING TO STONEHAVEN β‘β€οΈ
Weβre delighted to announce that Stonehaven Sea Cadets have received a generous donation from Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics of a brand-new defibrillator and outdoor cabinet! β
Once installed outside our unit, this potentially life-saving piece of equipment will be available to support not only our cadets, volunteers and users of our unit but also the wider Stonehaven community.
Having quick access to a defibrillator during a cardiac emergency can make a huge difference, and weβre incredibly grateful to Altrad for making this possible.
π The defibrillator will be located outside Stonehaven Sea Cadets, Marischal Street.
A huge thank you for supporting our unit and helping make our local community a safer place. β€οΈ
