🦅 EASTWOOD HANLEY EAGLES U15 PASS THEIR FIRST TEST WITH FLYING COLOURS! ⭐️

On Sunday, our Eastwood Hanley Eagles U15s officially kicked off their new season in Division 4 of the North Staffordshire Junior Youth League – and they couldn’t have asked for a better start! 💙⚽️

Preparations for the opening game began on Friday, 14th August. Our pre-season programme was carefully planned, with the boys training three times a week, including one strength and conditioning session at Caveman Training Centre under the guidance of fitness coach John Hau.

The gym work, CrossFit sessions, regular football training and two pre-season friendlies gave the boys a strong physical foundation ahead of the new campaign.

But all that hard work had to be put to the test – and the first real examination came away from home against Willaston White Star FC U15s.

And the boys passed the test with five goals! 🔥🦅

The Eagles looked the stronger side from the start and built a commanding lead in the first half. Goals from Tharul, Fabio and Ayush gave us a 3–0 advantage at half-time.

After the break, our new signing Umar added another goal, while the fifth came through an own goal from the opposition. Willaston White Star responded with two goals of their own, but the Eagles remained in control and secured a well-deserved opening-day victory.

A special mention must go to Travis, who stepped up and volunteered to play in goal in the absence of our regular goalkeeper Lennon. He rose to the challenge and did a fantastic job for the team. 👏🧤

Thankfully, Lennon will be back for our next game.

A huge congratulations to the entire squad for all their hard work throughout pre-season and for producing such a strong performance in our first league match.

⚽️🦅 EASTWOOD HANLEY LITTLE EAGLES U11 KICK OFF THE NEW SEASON! 🦅⚽️

Our Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U11 team began their 2026/27 North Staffordshire Junior Youth League campaign with a home fixture against Biddulph Knights U11. ⚽️

The last few months have been a period of significant change for the team. At the end of last season, two coaches and two of our key players left the squad. Unfortunately, that’s football — changes between seasons are part of the game, and sometimes a team has to start rebuilding and adapting again.

But there has also been plenty of positive news! 💪

The team has been taken over by young and passionate coach Greg Demczak, who has begun the job of preparing the squad for the new season. We have also welcomed two new players to the Little Eagles family. 🦅

Unfortunately, our pre-season preparations didn’t go quite as planned. With many of our players away on summer holidays, Greg and the team didn’t have the opportunity to complete as many full-squad training sessions as we would have liked.

And that was clearly visible in our first league fixture.

After a six-week summer break, the boys were understandably still missing some match sharpness. Our speed, decision-making and overall intensity were not yet at the level we know this group is capable of reaching.

Coach Greg Demczak has decided to treat the first month of the season as an extended pre-season period. The team needs regular training, time together and an opportunity to rediscover their rhythm. We’ll be patient with the process, continue working hard and hopefully start seeing the results of that work from October onwards. 💪⚽️

The biggest positive, however, is simply that WE ARE BACK ON THE PITCH! 🦅

The summer holidays are over, the boys can finally train together as a full squad again, and now the hard work really begins.

It’s great to see Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U11 back in action. We have a long season ahead of us, plenty of training sessions and lots of football still to come!

🦅⚽ THE NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE JUNIOR YOUTH LEAGUE SEASON IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! ⚽🦅

What a day for Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U8s! After waiting so long for their league debut, our youngest team finally stepped onto the pitch for their first ever North Staffordshire Junior Youth League match — and what a debut it was! 🔥

Head Coach Damian Sasiak formed the Little Eagles U8s back in March this year. Until today, the boys had not played in a league competition, instead focusing on training and gaining valuable experience through tournaments.

Despite the summer break interrupting our preparations, the boys showed that they were more than ready for the challenge.

⚽ 2nd minute — GOAL!
And it didn't stop there! Two more goals followed within just a few minutes, giving Little Eagles a fantastic start to their historic first league game.

The boys controlled the first half, playing some excellent football and creating some really good attacking moves.

After the break, however, the game changed completely. Biddulph Scorpions U8s came out strongly and took control of the second half, putting our young Eagles under plenty of pressure.

But the boys showed great determination, battled until the final whistle and held on to secure a HISTORIC DEBUT VICTORY! 🏆🦅

It was definitely a game of two halves, but our Little Eagles came out on top.

There were some fantastic moments of football from our young players, with some really impressive team moves and individual performances. Most importantly, the boys showed character, determination and a fantastic attitude throughout the game.

What an incredible way to begin our journey in the North Staffordshire Junior Youth League. This is only the beginning, and we couldn't be prouder of our Little Eagles! ❤️⚽

Next Sunday, we face another challenge as we travel away to play AFC Stoke U8s.

⚽️ THE LONG-AWAITED 2026/27 SEASON IS ABOUT TO BEGIN! ⚽️

The long-awaited 2026/27 North Staffordshire Junior Youth League season kicks off this weekend! 🔥

Exactly six weeks — that’s how long our teams’ summer break lasted. But now it’s time to get back on the pitches, begin the league competition and see what our teams are capable of! 💪⚽️

🦅 EASTWOOD HANLEY EAGLES U15

Our U15 players were the first to begin preparations for the new season. The boys started their intensive preparations in mid-August under the guidance of their coaches.

As well as two training sessions each week, the players have also been working on their physical preparation at Caveman Training Centre. 💪

This Sunday, our U15 team will play their first Division 4 match. They face a long away trip and a game against Willaston White Star FC.

It’s difficult for us to assess the potential of our opponents, as Eastwood Hanley Eagles U15 have never had the opportunity to play against them before. One thing is certain — our first serious test is ahead! 🔥

🦅 EASTWOOD HANLEY LITTLE EAGLES U11

The biggest changes ahead of the new season have taken place within our U11 team.

After the end of last season, coaches Mateusz Miszczuk and Daniel Dowd left the team. From the new season, the team will be managed by coach Greg Demczak.

Two key players have also left the team. In addition, because of summer holidays and trips away, the team has not been able to train regularly with a full squad.

That means September and the first few league matches will really be a preparation period for both the coach and the players, giving them time to rebuild the team and develop a new understanding on the pitch.

Three new players have also joined the team, and we hope they will quickly settle into the squad. 💪

Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U11 will play their first league match at home against AFC Biddulph Knights.

However, the biggest attention will be on our youngest debutants! 👏

Eastwood Hanley Little Eagles U8 will play their first-ever league match in the club’s history this weekend, welcoming AFC Biddulph Scorpions at home.

Coach Damian Sasiak’s players have taken part in just five tournaments so far. Now they face a completely new challenge — their debut season in the North Staffordshire Junior Youth League! 🏆

For many of these boys, this will be their first proper league season, their first experience of the excitement that comes with league matches and regular competition.

We can’t wait to see them out on the pitch! ❤️⚽️

The youngest boys of Eastwood Hanley FC, our Little Eagles U7 managed by 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐤 and assisted by 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, have had an incredibly busy and exciting few weeks, taking part in two tournaments. 👈💪👏

⏭️ 𝑾𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑻𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕

The first challenge took place at Winsford Town, where the boys played some brilliant football and gained valuable experience.

Manager 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 shared his thoughts after the tournament:

Our very first tournament has just ended. To be honest, playing in a tournament where you don’t know your opponents and in a completely different region makes you feel stressed, and I felt it too.

I think this tournament was very well organized. I would even say it was tailored to our needs. The first match was a heavy loss, that's a fact, but against an opponent who has been playing and training for a year and a half. I think if it weren't for the quickly conceded goal, it wouldn't have been so bad. For a few minutes, we held them off.

The second match was a victory against Winsford Town, and the third match secured us a solid 3rd place in the group. The last match in the group was also against a hellishly strong opponent with even more aggressive coaches.

It was a very good experience. We finished in 3rd place, which gave us a promotion to the knockout stage of the Europa League.

We won the quarter-finals of the Europa League, and that’s when I slowly started thinking about the Europa League final, only I didn’t notice that the sun started to heat up the most.

Some of our players were simply exhausted. At the beginning of the semi-finals, we had a chance; you looked like a dominating team, but unfortunately, one of the counterattacks through which we conceded a goal cut off our breath a bit. Nevertheless, we opened up later, but we couldn't win the match.

The Europa League final - it could have been better, it could have been worse.

⏭️ 𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝑭𝑪 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕

The second tournament took place last Sunday at the Macclesfield FC pitches, where the boys once again showed their quality.

They secured third place in the group, with two wins, two losses and one draw.

This earned them a spot in the quarter‑finals, where they faced the team that eventually went on to win the entire tournament.

Despite the loss, the boys played fantastic football and it was a very close, hard‑fought match.

And with three more tournaments lined up, the Little Eagles are flying into the new season full of energy and belief.

Each competition is helping them to be more experienced and grow stronger.
