⛳ Day 2 of greens renovations complete.

A big thank you to all members and guests who played today and put up with the renovation work and temporary greens.

We know temp greens are never ideal, especially when the greens have been looking so good, but this work is a huge part of keeping them that way.

The greens were top dressed with sand, which is brushed in to help smooth the surface and support stronger growth.

The team also carried out verti cutting to 3mm, overseeding, switching and finishing to help remove dead grass, introduce fresh seed and improve the overall density of the playing surface.

It might look a bit messy short-term, but it’s all done for the long-term health and quality of the greens.

⛳ It’s that time of year…

Renovation work has started on the greens, with the team carrying out micro hollow coring using 8mm x 50mm tines today.

The lads have been hard at it this morning, and we know it never looks pretty when work like this is being done especially with how good the greens have been looking.

But it’s all part of the process.

This work helps keep the greens healthy, improve the surfaces long-term, and gives us the best chance of keeping them in play for longer through the winter months.

Tomorrow, the team will be top dressing with sand as the work continues.
A huge well done to all the greenkeeping staff, with wrt groundcare leading the way.

18 HOLES FROM £25? GO ON THEN…..⛳

We’re not saying we’re the best value 18-hole golf club in the area… but at tee times from £25, we’re definitely asking the question 👀

The course will be prepped, the greens will be cut, the range balls will be ready, the café will be serving food all day, the beers will be cold, and the patio will be doing what it does best judging tee shots on the 1st.

Not bad, is it?

💗 What an amazing weekend!

We don’t quite have the official total raised from Deb’s Day just yet, but what a brilliant day it was here at Greenway Hall. ⛳

A huge thank you to the family for choosing to host such a special day with us, and to everyone who came along, took part, donated and helped make the event as impressive as it was.

It was lovely to see so many people come together for such an important cause, and we were very grateful to be able to play a small part in the day. 💗

We’ll be adding as many photos as we can into an album by the end of tonight, so keep an eye out.
