New away kit for Charlie Bassetts FC

Charlie Bassetts won their first game of the season today against a tough and resolute Bramshall side.

Bramshall took the lead early on through Henry Hymas and we equalised on 10 minutes via Max Povey. Harry Lunn gave Brammy a 2-1 lead on 20 minutes and the game stayed that way with both teams cancelling each other out through the half time interval and mid way second half drinks break.

In the 73rd minute Bassetts equalised via Jack Kay and then took the lead through brother Joe 7 minutes later.

Denan Farrington scored the 4th on 83 minutes but Bramshall made it a tense final few minutes after Alfie Lawrie scored on 86 minutes.

A very close game and both teams give it their all and a fantastic final 15 minutes.

Best of luck to Bramshall for the rest of the season and many thanks to Three Tuns for the food afterwards.

Max Povey was awarded Man of the Match.

Up The Bassetts 🟢 ⚫️

Tomorrow we face Bramshall fc new in our first Premier match of the Uttoxeter & District Sunday League season at Pennycroft Park, Uttoxeter, ST14 7BW.

Bramshall won Division 1 last season and face Bassetts in competitive action for the first time. We did have a friendly last year though 👀

Tomorrow will also see us wear our away kit for the first time! (Our summer league kit from 2 years ago 😂)

Kick off is 10:30.

Our pre season is now complete.

Today saw us have a strong squad of 17 available and achieve a 4-1 victory over new boys Cheadle SMU 2nd Team.

Half time saw us level at 1-1 and Cheadle were very energetic and lively ensuring we defended with caution.

It was a hard fought victory for the lads and game management and clinical finishing ensured we were victorious.
