Your child's PE lesson is the one most likely to be cancelled this week.
That's not us being dramatic.
It comes from the Youth Sport Trust's PE and School Sport Report 2026, launched in Parliament this June:
β 2.1 million young people in England average under 30 minutes of physical activity a day
β Only 57% of teachers say their school delivers the recommended two hours of PE a week
β PE is the most frequently cancelled subject in schools
β 1 in 3 young people spend 3+ hours a day on screens outside schoolwork
None of that is a dig at teachers.
They're squeezed from every direction, but it does mean the gap lands at home, with us as parents.
So here's what two nights a week Taekwondo actually covers:
π₯ Real movement. Kicking, stretching, jumping, balancing, heart rate up from warm-up to bow-out.
π₯ Coordination. Left and right sides working together, patterns learned and repeated until they stick.
π₯ Focus. Listening to one instruction, holding a stance, remembering a sequence.
π₯ Self-control. Power they learn to switch on, and just as importantly, switch off.
π₯ Perseverance. The kick that doesn't work this week, then suddenly does next month.
π₯ A screen-free hour, by design.
π₯ Consistency. Sessions that don't get dropped for mocks, wet play or a timetable clash.
Two nights won't fix a national problem on its own, but it gives your child two guaranteed, structured, active evenings every week, and the habits that carry into the other five.

THEY'LL LEARN ALGEBRA THIS YEAR.
HERE'S WHAT THEY WON'T.
Have a look at their timetable.
Maths. English. Science. French.
Every minute planned by people who know exactly what they're doing.
Now look for the lesson on how to walk into a room where you don't know a single person and hold your head up anyway.
It isn't there.
There's no slot for standing your ground without starting a fight.
No coursework on what to do when the older kids decide you're this week's entertainment.
No module on losing badly on Saturday and turning up again on Monday.
Which is strange, because for a child starting secondary school, that's the subject that decides everything.
That's the class we run.
Yes, they learn to kick.
That's the part they'll tell you about in the car.
But what's actually happening in a Warrior Kids session is this:
π₯ Standing in front of a room and being looked at, every single week
π₯ Speaking up loudly enough to be heard
π₯ Being graded by a coach who won't just pass them to keep them happy
π₯ Training alongside older kids until teenagers stop being frightening
The lesson isn't on the timetable.
So we teach it ourselves, twice a week, 15 minutes from your door.
And the best bit, it costs nothing to try.

77% of parents say screens are the reason their child isn't active!!
Which means most parents already know.
Nobody needs another report explaining that screens are winning, you've watched it happen in your own front room.
What's missing isn't information.
It's somewhere to be.
That's the whole thing.
A time, a place, and 60 minutes where the phone isn't the main focus.
Children don't put screens down because they've been persuaded to.
They put them down because something better has their attention.

4:00pm home from school, bag dumped in the hallway.
4:30pm climbing the back of the sofa.
5:15pm full-scale war with their sibling over a crisp.
6:00pm you've said "please sit down" nine times and you're starting to hear your own mother in your voice.
Sound familiar?
Here's what we've learned coaching hundreds of children in Stoke, energy isn't bad behaviour.
It's just energy with nowhere to go.
Six hours sat at a desk, then you open the front door and it all comes out at once.
So we give it somewhere to go.
A 45 minute session of pads, kicks, focus drills, and lots of fun!!
Bonus: they come home genuinely tired.
Parents usually tell us bedtime gets easier before the kicks get any good.
We start every child with a free session, so you can see how they get on and we can see where they're at, no commitment, no pressure, nobody signing anything at the door.

Does your child jump from activity to activity?
β½οΈ Football one term.
ππ»ββοΈ Swimming the next.
π₯ Drums for about three weeks.
Here's the thing, it's usually not that your child "can't stick at anything."
It's that nothing has given them a reason to stay.
Most activities ask kids to turn up, but few give them something to aim at, something they can feel themselves getting better at week by week.
That's what our Foundation programme is built around.
Small clear goals and visible progress.
A belt they actually earned themselves and not one handed out for showing up.
Plus they build a habit of sticking at it that shows up in homework, in friendships, in how they handle things not going their way.
