Slight ball position change moving the ball an inch further back as it was inline with the front foot (where a driver should be), this helped to stop the chunks and thins. We also worked on early extension, stopping the pelvis from moving towards the ball in the downswing (keeping the bum back and holding the posture into the ball). Great work Neil. πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

* Half day coaching session *
It was a pleasure to spend half a day with last week, we spent 3.5 hours solely on the swing mechanics.
Some fantastic progress made, check out the before and afters πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Clip 1 - Set up changes. Belt buckle more central to the feet, with the sternum a degree behind the belt buckle. This creating more room at set up between Tom and the weight line running vertically up from the outside of the left foot, and getting the weight off the left foot.

Clip 2 - much better pivot, with weight more into the right foot through the backswing. At the top of the swing we now have more room between Tom and the weight line running up from the left foot to shift and turn in too.

Clip 3 - post impact, as you can see Tom is no longer breaking through the weight line and getting in-front of the ball which was causing the hands to release early.

Clip 4 - loading the right hip better and staying attached to the line running down the tail bone. Arms a little higher, with the left arm now running through the right shoulder. Left wrist flatter keeping the club shaft on a better plane.

Clip 5- Less early extension (tail bone coming away from the line) and more rotation helping to get the club more in front and less stuck inside. Club-face less open due to the left wrist angles.

Clip 6 - No early extension through the ball, more rotation, all allowing for a more passive club face (less forearm roll) which can be seen by the face angle post impact, and more neutral swing path.

I really look forward to seeing this swing progress and the scores improve as we move forward. Great start Tom, onwards and upwards πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ‘ŠπŸΌ
