The pink stuff strikes again. Bike less than 12 months old and fully integrated headset creaking. Thankfully I could expose the headset parts enough to clean them up.

Workshop is now closed and responses to enquiries are likely to be unanswered. It's been a super busy 8-10 weeks and thank you to all my customers for your support.
I need a break and once I return I'll share an update on my availability / diary.
Yowzers! 6.84kg!
This Aethos was in today for new Groupset. I must say the latest improvements to the new Force is making me think twice about my previous di2 preference for road bikes 🤔🤔. The ratios have been better for some time but the shift wasn't as good as di2.....now they are very close. Plus the latest sti levers are some of the best I've felt. impressed

Credit where credit is due. Definitely a top 5 entry into the category for the cleanest and well kept bike I've seen over the past decade!!. Makes my life easier and as such I didn't charge the customer the full service price and I therefore had time to squeeze in a quick job (replacement gear Cable) for a chap doing a charity bike ride this weekend.
On a side note the wheelset I built for this customer with (super rare) Hope Pro 3s and Mavic open pro rims is still butter smooth and arrow straight after 6+ years!.

I was hoping to do a lot more riding with my week off but various things (garden project, van projects but largely the heat) have stopped me. Great to get back to goyt valley for the first time since I destroyed my shoulder....confident slowly creaping back.
WORKSHOP UPDATE
As usual its super busy when the sun is shining. My diary has been chocca for some time now and is pretty full now until early July 🫣. I've a handful of slots left that I'll be offering to my Pedal Power Club members first and then the diary is shut for any future bookings until July to give me chance to catch up and stop apologising to everyone who rings and expects me to fit them in next week 🫣.
Seeing your son love something as much as you do is very special. Ethan's grafted at his engineering apprenticeship since September and gradually collected parts for his . He's built his own wheels and even made a shock bush at work for the suspension. We finished the build tonight ready for some test runs at the weekend before his next race 🥰🤩

First one of these in the stand today. Sold via decathlon - if you didn't know - impressive for the money - and puts some of the bigger brands to shame.
Also - a shout out to the customer Simon for dropping off one of the cleanest bikes (for it's age) I've ever seen!. Much appreciated 🙏

Another example of why I never recommend purchasing a cannondale.....hands-down....the worse brand for cable routing. This brake line is kinked to pass under the crank axle meaning a significant loss in power at the brake from increased friction, rapid wear and to be honest it's unsafe.
Also you can see the bb30 bearings have zero protection inside yet the design of the plastic cable guide allows water ingress similar to a cooking sieve. Then we have cannondales own brand cranks with 7 different spacers to install - creak free - not for long 🫣

It's been a while since I've seen a fake chain. Provided by a customer.....Sounds like a bag of spanners on the bike 🫣
