The work rate was class from the first whistle to the last. We made plenty of subs and changed things around throughout the game, but everyone who came on kept the same intensity and helped us see out a well-deserved 4-2 win. 💪

After a few ups and downs since last season, it feels good to get everyone back on the same page and, most importantly, back to winning ways! 🔴⚫️🔴

Unlucky for the lads today in our first pre-season game back. 👏

There were plenty of positives to take from the performance. We played some really good football in spells, controlled the game for long periods, created loads of chances and had the majority of the possession. On another day, we put a few of those opportunities away and it’s a completely different result.

With a good few new faces coming in, today was all about getting minutes in the tank, building fitness and getting everyone out on the pitch together so the squad can start to gel ahead of the new season. That’s exactly what pre-season is for.

Overall, I’m really happy with the lads’ performance. Results are always nice, but the performance is what matters most at this stage, and I genuinely thought we were the better side by a clear mile. Credit to Edgeley Villa though—they took their chances when they came, and that’s football.

A special mention to .mcr1 who got our goal in his brief 10 minute appearance 😅⚽👏

Every game is another opportunity to build fitness, sharpen up, welcome new faces and continue building on the standards that made last season so special.

A New Chapter Begins. 🧡🖤

After an incredible season and a half at the helm, our manager has decided to step down from his role. We’d like to thank him for everything he’s done for the club and wish him nothing but the very best for the future.

Now, we’re delighted to announce that Adam Gardiner will be taking over as First Team Manager.

Adam has been an integral part of Esskay United, leading by example as both a player and captain. He now steps into the managerial role, bringing with him his experience, leadership, passion, and winning mentality.

We’re excited to see what this next chapter brings. Can Adam get the very best out of the lads and guide us to even more silverware? We can’t wait to find out.

New league. New manager. New vision. Exciting times lie ahead. 💪🏆
