A busy month at Energize.

Evening all, just a quick update on the ongoing work at the Mill.

The road around the building leading to the Riverside Suite will be closed tomorrow, so please follow the diversion signs in place.

The Riverside lift is expected to be back up and running by Thursday at the latest.

Thanks for your patience while the work is being completed.

What a team!

Yesterday we graded over 170 students from 9am to 6pm and it was non-stop from start to finish.

A massive congratulations to every student who achieved their next belt. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

I also want to say a huge thank you to our amazing coaching team. I honestly believe we have the best team around. The energy, standards and support you give the students is something special.

Thank you to all the parents for giving up your Sunday for the kids, and a special thank you to everyone helping behind reception and behind the scenes for keeping the day running so smoothly.

For tomorrow’s grading, could all students please bring their gloves and wear their belts.

Juniors and Adults — if you can bring any equipment you have, that would be brilliant.

When you arrive, just pop over to reception to check in so we can get everyone registered nice and smoothly.

You can use the lift by Price Savers instead, or access the stairs using code 1066.

Afternoon everyone, just a quick heads‑up.
The Mill is currently resurfacing the road around the building. They’ve assured us the work will be completed today, though we don’t have an exact finish time.

Parking is still available, but only at the front of the Mill and on the right‑hand side at the moment.

Yesterday we took a small team of beginners, intermediates stepping up, and a couple of our fight team to the Leeds Open Championships. With Carl away, Coaches Ian, Trinity, David, Fallon, Sienna, and support from Sam, took the reins.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved. The competition was well‑run, competitive, friendly, and gave our beginners a brilliant first taste of what events are all about 👏 — and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love coming home with a big trophy.

For Ian and Trinity, it was a real throwback to their own early competition days, and it was great catching up with old friends and making new ones along the way.

There were so many highlights, plenty of learning moments for our new fighters and parents, and lots of proud Energize moments throughout the day. As always, thank you to our fantastic parents for the loudest cheers and your continued support.

I can definitely see this event becoming a regular on the calendar for our beginners next year.

Fighter of the Week – Harlo 🔥👏

Harlo has absolutely smashed it this week. His attitude has been spot‑on, his effort has been brilliant, and he’s taken everything on board. With some 1‑1s booked in, he’s loving his training at the minute and it really shows.

Another great session today, with Fallon leading the drill work and Sienna taking charge of our Tiny Titans — both sections were flying despite the heat. Huge well done to everyone who trained today, you all grafted.

Big thanks to Sam and Ed for your support as always. With some of our fighters making their competition debuts in Leeds tomorrow, it’s been a full‑on week and the energy has been class.
