Mistakes Iโ€™ve made as a PT so you donโ€™t have to!

Might make a mini series of this if youโ€™re lucky ๐Ÿ˜‚

Over the years thereโ€™s been so many trends, new things online that people get sucked into and also new research on a lot of different things!

Anyways here we go:

1. Sugar wonโ€™t make you fat. One single thing wonโ€™t make you gain body fat, it doesnโ€™t work like that, we all know what a calorie deficit is by now โ€ฆ you could eat high sugar foods, be in a deficit and lose fat BUT feel rubbish. If someone demonises food, run!
2. You canโ€™t out train your diet. Whatever your goal is, over exercising isnโ€™t the way forward, the way forward is finding what works for you, what works for goal and whatโ€™s sustainable. You donโ€™t need to expend thousands of calories a day and eat a few hundred. You need to nail the basics here.
3. You donโ€™t need to train every day to see results. You only need extreme training if your goal depends on that. You donโ€™t need to be in the gym or running for hours on end. If you have 20 mins to exercise and thatโ€™s all you do then amazing, if you only managed to exercise 2 times this week, thatโ€™s getting you closer to where you want to beโ€ฆ you get the point.

Your journey isnโ€™t going to look like anyone elseโ€™s.

Itโ€™s yours.

You might find it harder, easier, not know what direction to go in, you might smash your habits on the head first time or it might take a good few months to get your head around things.

Whatever your goal is with your fitness journey just know, itโ€™s got to be right for you, you have to be doing it for the right reasons and it really doesnโ€™t matter if it looks different to your mates, what matters is that it works for you, itโ€™s sustainable, realistic and suits your lifestyle!

Remember, the best plan is the one you can stay consistent with!

Donโ€™t compare your journey to anyone elseโ€™s, focus on building a healthy lifestyle for you!
