🏆 It’s our tournament finals week! 🏆. Everyone is welcome to come down and support the players and see who gets to raise the tournament trophies.

We enjoyed a great Wimbledon social today. We had Smash Racket Pro to tempt us with a good selection of tennis merch and some fun competitive social tennis. Thank you to Libby for organising and to everyone for turning up in the heat! The Pimms and amazing cakes were an extra special treat 🍰 🍹

Mens 1 suffered a loss v Pownall Park 1
Men’s 2 lost to Brooklands 1
Ladies 1 had two matches this week resulting in a win v Bowden 2 and a draw v Hale 3
Ladies 2 had a win v Didsbury 3

Almost the end of the season now with lots to play for in the final match ups 🎾

It was another good set of results for our teams this week.
Men’s 1 beat New Mills 1.
Men’s 2 lost v Bramhall Lane 4.
Ladies 2 beat Ryecroft 3.
And Ladies 3 finished their season with a convincing win against Lindow 2.

Well done to the teams that managed to play their fixtures despite the heat this week. Our Men’s 1 retain their place at the top of Division 5 with another win v Albert 3 - great performance fellas! Ladies 3 battled in the heat to draw against Heyes Lane 2 and our Men’s 3 beat Hazel Grove 2 seeing them sit 2nd place in Division 11. Looks like promotion is within reach for our Men’s 1 & 3 this year 🎾

We have another marvellous addition to our club facilities - an all weather gazebo to provide shade and shelter for players and spectators🌦️
Massive thanks to Nigel, Mark E, Pat and Mark M for all their hard work in the blistering heat today and to Libby for all your organisation in sourcing, ordering and locating it! Great teamwork everyone, it looks fantastic 🎾

A busy week for our teams..
Ladies 1 won v Alderley Edge 3, then had a draw v Hazel Grove 1. In the Mixed Daytime league we had a win v The Northern but our Men’s 2 had a loss in a tough match v Macclesfield 3. Ladies 3 also lost out to a strong Davenport 4. Well played everyone👏
