Greenshoots yoga offers yoga and mindfulness classes to children aged 5-18 as well as families. This school specialises in trauma lead education.
I have been a primary school teacher for 19 years, working for 4 years at St Richards Primary School in Longsight and then 8 years at Alderley Edge School for Girls. When my boys were young I left full time teaching trained as a yoga teacher-for children aged 5 plus and Teenagers. Just reflecting on last nights session and all the gorgeous people I get to meet.
Parents come with a child to my yoga session and really place value on forming deep connections.
We did some beautiful mirror movement-mirroring each others slow intentional moves.
Then we stretched-ourselves and each other!!
Finally everyone melted-into a relaxation/ visualisation.
I received such amazing feedback and feel so grateful to have like minded people come and share this session with me.

Yoga for footballers..
As we know yoga can help prevent injuries and mindfully cool down/ destress after a match or game.
The breath work can also help get players in the correct mindset-letting go of fear and using visualisation.
I'm not claiming yoga can do it all...
But it certainly is looking that way π«Άπ»π§ββοΈπ±

Today I went to someone's house who has adopted 3 children-an amazing compassionate and well read woman who's mission is to feed her children with love and safety.
I was lucky enough to work with her and her daughter, where I taught a restorative yoga lesson, meditation and breath work.
It was beautiful π±π§ββοΈπ«Άπ»
