In our third season we entered the BUIHA Cup Competition (this is a pool style competition that runs throuout the season). In our first game in Sheffield it would be Sophie Woolford who grabbed the first goal in the competition.

Drew and Zoe were on the winning Orange team at the Sheffield Shadows tournament. Both pick up goals.

Next up for top tens we have our lowest scoring games in history. We have not included tournament games for obvious reasons.

A nice moment as 2026 Ring of Honour inductee received her trophy this morning. Always nice when these get presented in person!

In the first ever club game we faced the Edinburgh Lions losing 5-0.

With the club having newly formed three Edinburgh Eagles Ice Hockey Club guested in the game, those were Chris Tung, Zack Abrams and Nilla 'Matias' Malmivaara. The latter played in goal as our club legend Mhairi Dobbin had only been on the ice once in her kit at the time.

Zac Abrams would go on to play a second time for the Steel Queens finishing with one goal and one assist for the team.

Next up on our top tens is the longest road trips including tournaments. We have used the shortest distance according to google maps for the stats.

A more novel Top Ten list this morning as we look at the 10 rinks we have played games in. We have used only officially counted games, so games where the stats end up on Elite Prospects, hence Bristol has not made an appearance.

Murrayfield Ice Arena is in top spot, but only three in front of Sheffield where we have played a half century of games.

We have played at 25 different ice rinks since we started and who knows what we might add in future.
