On the Road to 50!

We’re heading back to 2018 for another ClubSport Stirling memory!

This time, we’re looking back at Central Athletic Club, with a check for £690 to support their hurdling programme.

The funding was used to invest in new hurdles for their junior athletes, helping them develop their skills and participate in training.

It’s fantastic to look back and see how ClubSport Stirling funding has helped local clubs invest in their athletes and create opportunities for the next generation of sporting talent. 💚

Do you remember Central Athletic Club around this time?
Maybe you were involved, know someone in the photograph, or have your own ClubSport Stirling memory from 2018?

We’d love to hear from you!

On the Road to 50!

This time, we're jumping back to 2016 and taking a look at a memory from Stirling Cricket Club.

Back in 2016, Stirling County Cricket Club received £220 through ClubSport Stirling to support their club and the development of local sport.

It’s another little piece of the story as we look back at the people, clubs and moments that have helped shape ClubSport Stirling over the past 50 years.

Do you remember this one, or know someone who does?

A Memory from 2018

As we continue 'On the Road to 50', we're looking back at some of the stories and memories that have been part of ClubSport Stirling's journey.

January 2018 - The Stirling Observer

This fantastic photo captures ClubSport Stirling's Ian Cuthbertson presenting Stirling Swimming Club with a £436 grant to help four young swimmers take part in a Young Leaders course.

The course gave the swimmers the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, learn how to engage with younger people and take on the role of Team Captains within the club.
It's a great reminder that ClubSport Stirling's story isn't just about funding.

It's about supporting people, developing clubs and creating opportunities for the next generation.

Do you have a ClubSport Stirling memory you'd like us to share?

Old photographs, newspaper cuttings, certificates, stories, sporting achievements or memories, we'd love to see them!

Send them to us and help us build our 50th anniversary memories together.
