I nearly quit coaching before Iâd even started đŹ
Back in 2013, I launched my very first outdoor bootcamp. Around 120 people signed up.
Until then, Iâd only ever coached one-to-one personal training sessions and spin classes
Iâd never stood in front of a large group
On the morning of the first session, I watched people arrivingâŚ
And instead of feeling excitedâŚ
I felt sick. Literally SICK đ¤
I remember sitting in my car thinking:
âWhat if screw this up?â
âWhat if they donât enjoy it?â
âWhat if I make a complete fool of myself?â
I actually pictured myself tripping up in front of everyone and everyone laughing at me đđ
Then one thought hit me that Iâll never forget
âThey donât know who I am anyway⌠if I just drive away, I can still get out of thisâ
I was genuinely that close đ¤
But after a few minutes, I took a deep breath, got out of the car and walked over
The first session went great although everyone could feel my nervousness- We actually had a bit of a joke about it
Next session went better.. then the next⌠then the next
That single decision changed the course of my life
Those bootcamps grew year after year
2 locations
Then they became something much more impactful- Shapesmart Gym đŻ
Since then, Iâve had the privilege of helping more than 4,000 people transform their body, health & confidence
Looking back, itâs crazy to think how close I came to throwing all of that experience awayâŚ
I didnât think I wasnât incapable
But I was scared of what people might think

Most people think this is ageing đ
đ Weight creeping up

But what if it isnât age at all?
When Dawn joined Shapesmart, she was 38 years old

Thatâs what Amber believed at 45
For years she trained at a local bootcamp-style gym

Training 5 days a week...
