Thanks Angela for leading on Saturday's walk and to all who joined us on the day.
A walking group, open to all that takes advantage of the scenery around Stirling University. Walks start at the MacRobert Centre at 10.30am every Saturday.
Our group started in 2009 as an collaboration between the University and Active Stirling. During that time our numbers have varied between 6 and 25 and we have managed to walk on over 48 weeks of the year. We also vary in age and level of fitness but this doesn't seem to make any difference because the most important thing we have in common is our enjoyment of walking. Our walks vary from fairly f

Starts at the MacRobert Arts Centre at 10:30 am.
Today's walk is into Bridge of Allan and up Lovers' Loan. This is the path above the Bridge in the centre of town. The walk is fairly flat with a couple of short uphill stretches. The forecast is for light rain showers with light winds, so wet gear is advised. Ian

Today's walk is up into Hermitage wood - this is the woods immediately behind the campus and is named for the folly built into the cliffside. The walk has some lengthy uphill stretches and should last up to 2 hours. The forecast is for light rain and a moderate breeze, so wet gear is advised. Ian

Starts at the MacRobert Arts Centre at 10:30am.
Today's walk is into Mine Wood and down the Darn Path. This is the path along the river from Dunblane to Bridge of Allan - once used by Roman soldiers.( Probably more than once actually !) The walk has some short uphill stretches and should last about 2 hours. The forecast is for light cloud and light winds with a possibility of a shower later on. Ian

Today's walk intended to be Cocksburn Reservoir however, as we did this as a reserve walk quite recently we are switching to Bridge of Allan Golf Course and Mine Wood. This walk has some lengthy uphill stretches and should last about 2 hours. The forecast is for sunny intervals and a moderate breeze. Ian

Starts at the MacRobert Arts Centre at 10:30 am.
Today's walk is down to Cambuskenneth via Ladysneuk Road. This is the pretty little village nestled in a meander of the River Forth - it used to be a ferry point over the Forth to Stirling and the site of the remains of Cambuskenneth Abbey. The Abbey was used as the Scottish parliament during Bruce's time . The walk is mostly flat and should last about 2 hours. The forecast is for light rain showers and a gentle breeze, so wet gear is advised.Ian
