Stirling Bowling Club
Stirling Bowling Club is an outdoor bowling venue located close to Stirling City Centre
The club is hosting a local business team building event this Friday 4th September, 2026, 1.30pm-6pm, approx 20 people.
There will be an opportunity for the group to access the green, weather permitting, and have a friendly competition.
If members are willing to lend their bowls for the day can you please leave them on the seats in either the gents or ladies locker room.
We also need a few more volunteers to help on the day. If you are available please let Secretary David Harvey know.
This is the first time the club will host a business team building event so members’ help will be appreciated. It is also a potential future money raising opportunity for the club.
Thank you.

Today is our finals week singles championship games as advertised on the poster. Looking forward to some excellent bowling from both the men and women. We have a husband and wife, Gary and Chris McGrow in the final. Probably the first to do so. But, we will do a check on this later today.
FINALS WEEK UPDATE
Well what another cracking final we were treated to tonight.
The gents challenge pairs featuring Davie M and Lee versus Willie and Manny proved to be the fantastic match up we anticipated. With a burnt end, another end where there was no shot and countless drawn bowls, the crowd were on the edge of their seat. It seemed the shot changed with every bowl and it was fitting that the score was peels at 17 playing the last end.
With the darkness falling, it was a wonder the players managed to play out the last end but they did just that, producing fantastic bowls, Davie M and Lee just edging out Willie and Manny to win the game. Absolutely tremendous match!
Congratulations and thanks to all the players for the spectacle that they produced for us.
Tomorrow (Saturday) it is the Ladies and Gents championship finals starting at 1pm. These will be followed by the Combined Singles and the Central Singles.
The usual championship day BBQ will also take place.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow in what will be another fantastic day of bowls.

In the Senior Singles, Falconer and Tony put on a tremendous display of bowls. It was nip and tuck all the way with Falconer just coming out on top. Congratulations Falconer, commiserations Tony. A fantastic game, it was such a pity there had to be a runner up.
In the ladies 2 bowl pairs it was another very close affair with Margaret and Chris leading the majority of the match against Arlene and Lauren. However Arlene and Lauren managed to get the game to peels going into the last end. The last 2 bowls of the match delivered by the skips were fantastic and it came down to a measure, securing the win for Arlene and Lauren. Commiserations to Margaret and Chris.
Congratulations to all the players tonight for the two brilliant games they put on.
Tomorrow (Friday) there is only one final as unfortunately the ladies senior singles has had to be rearranged. At 6.30pm, the gents club pairs will take place.
