AUGUST GOLF COURSE REALITY CHECK 😂⛳️

I was scrolling through the pictures on my phone and found this little collection of golf courses from August over the years…

Some green. 🌧️
Some brown. ☀️
Some somewhere in between. 😂

And it got me thinking…

Can we please stop moaning about the weather?! 😂

Some Augusts we’ve had plenty of rain and the courses have been absolutely flying. Other years it’s been dry for weeks and everything starts to look a little more scorched. And then you get the years where it’s somewhere in the middle.

That’s golf in the UK.

The weather changes. The grass changes. The course changes. That’s literally how it works. 🤷‍♂️

I’m honestly getting bored of hearing “it needs to rain” every five minutes. Yes, it probably does. 😂 But equally, when it does rain, we’ll all be moaning that it’s too wet! Anyone looking forward to sloshing around in mud come January? Not me!

We’re golfers… apparently we’re only happy when we’re complaining. 🤣

So here’s a reminder from the pictures sitting on my phone that August golf courses have looked very different over the years — and they’ll continue to do so.

Enjoy the golf. Enjoy the summer. Appreciate the course while you’re playing it.

And if it’s a little brown…

Don’t panic. It’ll rain eventually. 😂🌧️
