We have ❗️ space available❗️ in both of our Ballet Foundation classes, open to boys and girls. We learn rhythm, dance and ballet basics and build our learning around magical songs and music 🎶, adventure stories, and plenty of fun props! It is amazing to see how much children can learn at this age, and see their confidence and friendships grow! 🤩
Parents stay in the waiting area but can watch through the glass panels in the door, and for particulalry shy children they are welcome to sit in for a couple of sessions. We have all the follow on classes for them to progress into too!

Today's tasks before the term kicks off next week - next round of payment checks, typing up attendance lists, sorting out new props for our children's classes (and maybe the adults' classes 👀) and doing more lesson plans - although I have to say listening to piano music while my son fishes is a very peaceful way to plan a ballet class!

Pre-term tasks are underway! On today's list: stock check, uniform orders, moving dancers to the correct class WhatsApp groups, and first round of class prep and payment checks!
At N.E.Dance we have different colours for each level, but also encourage handing back old uniform in good condition which can be passed on to anyone else moving up to use for free!

We can't wait to welcome our dancers back next week and get those dancing shoes back on!

Something a little bit different today for our pre-teens' summer session... we watched the ballet Coppélia and had snacks, story synopsis and questions to guide us through the three acts! Most girls hadn't seen a full length ballet before and picked up on the storytelling aspect of ballet including the variety of mimes and expressions and were really getting the hang of understanding it the more they watched. Hopefully some inspiration there for our next performances! Thank you to Bunyan Baptist Church for letting us use their lounge, cosy bean bags and projector!

Sleeping Beauty workshop - complete! We had a brilliant time getting to grips with Aurora's variation from Sleeping Beauty's Act 3! Variations are notoriously harder than they look so it's safe to say we worked up sweat and gave it our best shot!

What a fun time we had in our first children's summer ballet camp - ballet, friends, picnic, game, improv, choreo, costumes, craft... all to the theme of the ballet Cinderella!

We enjoyed dancing to the beautiful waltz from Coppélia's Act 1 last night after the barre!
