At last!! We're now able to get back to face to face classes at St Wilfrid's Church Hall in Cowplain. Yippee!!
Our first class back will be on 21st September 2021 at 7pm. We've had to move to online booking, so please go here to book https://positively-flourish.pilatesnearyou.co.uk/add-item?type=service&id=20430
If you were in the middle of a block of 6 that you'd prepaid before we stopped the classes, then please just come along and your remaining sessions will, or course, be honoured.
Hope to see you all soon!

Unfortunately following the government announcement today, I will be cancelling Pilates for the next two weeks. I’ll review the situation at the end of the month. I’m going to look into whether I can do something online or recorded so that you don’t miss out too much 😁. I’ll be in contact with those of you who have paid for a block of classes to discuss options with you. Stay safe everyone!
Back from hols, so Pilates back to normal tonight! See you at 7pm @ St Wilfrid's Church hall, Cowplain!
First class back after the Christmas break tomorrow. Looking forward to getting moving again! Come and join us if you can 7pm @ St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, Padnell Road, Cowplain

Exercise of the month for January - the plank. There has been some controversy over this exercise, but this is largely around poor form/technique, an over reliance on it in terms of training the core, and holding it the position for prolonged periods of time - 30 secs to a minute is fine. Used effectively, this is a great exercise for improving core stability, strength and endurance. If you're new to this exercise, always get advice from a professional on how to do it safely. To make the plank easier, drop to your knees, or lie flat on the floor, pulling your belly button up from the floor (imagine an ice cube under your belly button!). To make it harder, rather than holding for longer, try lifting one foot at a time off of the floor (keeping good form and making sure that you alternate). Harder still, try putting both feet on an unstable surface such as an exercise ball. Feel free to message me if you have any questions 😁
Happy New Year! Remember, there's no class this Tuesday (7th) in Cowplain. Classes start again on Tuesday 14th January 2020.
Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you all for making the classes so fun, warm and friendly. 😍
