We have spaces available in our Saturday classes at Funky Monkees Dance & Performance School! 🎭💃📣

Our Saturday timetable includes:

💜 9–10am – Mini Street Dance | Reception–Year 5
💜 10–11am – Mini Cheerleading | Reception–Year 5
💜 11am–12pm – Jnr Street Dance | Year 5–Year 9
💜 12–1pm – Jnr Cheerleading | Year 5–Year 9
💜 1:30–3pm – Youth Theatre | Year 3+
💜 3–4:30pm – Snr Street Dance | Year 9+
💜 4:30–6pm – Snr Cheerleading | Year 9+

*Please note that we consider dance experience, ability and needs when placing in our groups not just age 😊

Whether they want to dance, cheer, perform or simply build confidence and make friends, there’s a place for them at Funky’s! 🥰💜

💜🖤 OUR SENIORS GIVING BACK 🖤💜

A group of our Seniors used one of their last Saturdays off to give back and help out around the church building we use — and we couldn’t be prouder! 🥹💜

They got stuck into jet washing, painting scenery for our upcoming pantomime, litter picking outside, fixing things that had been broken by contractors, painting the small hall and foyer wall, cleaning… and so much more! 🧹🎨🪣

They gave up their free time, worked together, got very messy 😂 and showed such incredible respect, care and pride for their community.

These are the moments that make us so proud to be Funky Monkees. It’s not just about dancing, performing and learning skills — it’s about growing kind, respectful and caring young people who want to make a difference. 💜🖤

A HUGE thank you to every one of you who came along and got stuck in. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves! 👏🏼 Lord Street West Church

We just want to wish ALL of our Year 11 students the biggest good luck as you collect your GCSE results today! 🥹❤️

We are beyond proud of every single one of you. Some of you have had to jump hurdle after hurdle just to be able to sit those exams, or even simply make it to the end of school — and that achievement alone is something to be incredibly proud of. 🫶✨

Today, take a moment to celebrate YOUR achievements. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, because your journey is completely your own. Your results do not define who you are or what you are capable of. ❤️

Whatever those envelopes say, remember how far you’ve come and how proud we are of you!

Each week we choose someone we feel has worked extra hard — both in class and at home — to receive the award. We also make sure it’s fair and inclusive, so every Funky gets a chance each term and it’s never just the same children being picked… that’s the Funky way! ✨
The winner gets to take home one of our Funky Monkees for the week 🐵💜

One of our Minis recently won Funky of the Week, and their Monkey certainly had a very busy week… getting up to all sorts of fun adventures and mischief while they were away from class! 😆💫

We can’t wait to see what our Monkees get up to in the next term… 👀🐵
