Yesterday’s player of the match was none other than Maddie. Maddie was an absolute powerhouse yesterday in midfield.

She intercepted a number of passes from Rainford Athletic players alongside bagging her opening goal.

Well done Mads! 🙌

We see a good number of players here ready to take on our competitors. The same squad who hold minutes in the tank from pre-season friendlies and strengthened technical ability through training.

After a break last weekend, the women are back in league action tomorrow against Rainford Athletic Women.

The last time the two teams met was in a play-off game for the league title two seasons ago so this is set to be a competitive game.

Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of the squad soon 👀

Did somebody say double figures?

What a way to start the season with ten goals under our belt - goals galore from M. Gibson and F. Thornton with one a piece from J. Webster and S. Birnie to fully seal the deal.

Captain Emma quoted: “Well, what an opener. We decided to put last season behind us, regroup and started early this season. The girls and management didn’t have much of a break during the off-season as we were soon back to training, working on additional fitness outside of the pitch alongside getting minutes under our belt with a number of pre-season friendlies.
All of that intense effort paid off today; the fitness showed - to the last minute we were fighting for the ball and making runs up the pitch and getting goals.

I am so proud of each and every player. We thoroughly deserved that win.”

We wish West Kirby the best, and we will see them again for the reverse fixture later in the season.

Rest up and well done girls!
