With the Claret Jug lifted a month ago today, it feels fitting to look back at the crowds at Regional Qualifying. A spectacular day enjoyed by all, and a reminder of the championship pedigree our club carries.

With the prestigious English Amateur taking place last week, we reflect on two of Hesketh's greatest ever members, the Bentley brothers.
Harry claimed the championship at Royal Cinque Ports in 1936 before Arnold added his name to the trophy in 1939 at Royal Birkdale.
Both men won their finals 5&4 and today they're immortalised in our clubhouse and the annual foursomes event that bears their name.

What an amazing few months it's been in the North-West, capped off by the Women's Open this week. Our course has shone throughout, and we've loved every second of our coastline being the focus of the men's, women's, and amateur golfing world.
No one knows what makes us special better than Martin, our Secretary, who grew up playing junior golf here.

The Claret Jug may have moved on, but we're still reflecting on a memorable week at Royal Birkdale.
Our members spent the championship marshalling the 2nd hole, while also enjoying a front-row seat to the world's greatest golf tournament, just 15 minutes down the road from Hesketh.

One month since Regional Qualifying came to town for the fourth straight year, and what a day it was.
The crowds, the course condition, and the weather all delivered their best, making for one of the finest days of golf our club has seen in a long time.
